Colleen Hilton

Colleen has over 20 years experience in the property group of a top tier legal firm and was admitted as a Solicitor in 1993. Colleen has acted in many commercial and retail leasing transactions as both landlord and tenant; and has advised on all aspects of leasing including office buildings, shopping centres, industrial estates, ground leases and petrol stations. Colleen has also acted in relation to the preparation and negotiation of numerous ancillary documents such as incentive agreements, licences, guarantees, etc. Colleen has also acted in the sale and acquisition of domestic, commercial and industrial properties and has worked on due diligence projects. The matters that Colleen has acted in include: Acting for major banks in relation to mortgagee sales, sale and leaseback of bank premises and the leasing of commercial offices for financial institutions. Acting for a major retailer in relation to agreements for lease and lease of land for development as petrol stations. Acting in relation to the agreements for lease and lease of premises in office buildings in the Sydney CBD. Acting for developers in relation to the agreements for lease and lease of industrial/warehouse sites in the outer Sydney area. Acting in the sale of commercial office buildings. Following a career break to spend more time with her family and particularly her daughters during their final years of school, Colleen joined CML Lawyers in September 2015.

Emma Hay

Emma is admitted to the ACT Supreme Court, NSW Supreme Court and the High Court of Australia and commenced working as a Solicitor at CML Lawyers in 2023. Having experience working as a Paralegal in Law firms in both Young and Canberra, Emma brings a unique blend of legal knowledge, strategic thinking, and compassionate client representation to every case she is involved in.

Karen Hayes

Karen was born and educated in Cowra, having attended Cowra High School and then a year at the Cowra TAFE. Following completion of her course, Karen commenced work at a local legal firm and remained at that firm for over 30 years. In that time Karen was involved in most facets of the legal practice but more particularly in the area of Conveyancing, leasing and business sale and purchases. Karen spent a number of years as a Settlement Clerk, arranging settlement of clients' sales or purchases, both locally and all across New South Wales. In 2018, Karen commenced her employment with CML Lawyers as a Property Paralegal in the Cowra office. This position gives her an opportunity to be involved in clients' conveyancing transactions, leasing transactions and business purchases and sales from start to finish and to be more involved on a personal level with our clients. Being a third generation local, Karen has a wide knowledge of Cowra and the area.

Majella Haywood

Mark Gordon

Job Titles:
  • Associate
Mark holds a Bachelor of Psychology, a Master of Engineering in Mining, an MBA and a Juris Doctor. He worked in the human resources and mining industries for 11 years prior to joining CML Lawyers as a Lawyer. Mark works in property, wills and estates and litigation where his commercial and project management skills and experience are a useful adjunct to his training in law and enables him to provide practical advice focussed on the best outcome for his client.

Paul Clark B.

Paul was admitted as a Solicitor in 1980 and became an Accredited Specialist in Business Law in 1994. He has acted in a large number of construction matters, a range of significant commercial transactions (both at domestic and international level) and property development, intellectual property and technology matters. He acts for a number of major trading corporations in the range of legal issues which confront them including corporate governance, trade practices and intellectual property. Peter McNamara B.

Peter was admitted as a solicitor in 1988. He has a range of commercial clients based in Australia and overseas, including the building and construction, manufacturing, sale of consumer products and IT industries. Peter has achieved positive results for clients in the following practice areas. Peter was a Regional President of the Law Society of NSW and a foundation member of the Young Lawyers Community Services Committee, which has undertaken significant initiatives to assist community access to justice. He was for 20 years a director of Law Week Limited. Law Week is held in the second week of May, and is a joint venture between the Attorney General's Department, Police Service, Legal Aid, Law Society and Bar Association in New South Wales.

Trish Dun

Trish has lived in the Cowra district for over 35 years and understands local issues.

Zoe Bagnall

Zoe has gained expertise in numerous fields of law including commercial, rural, industrial and residential property transactions, retail and commercial leasing, and acting for financial institutions and private equity in mortgage transactions. In addition to her work in the property field, she is also experienced in liquor licencing and the sale and purchase of businesses such as hotels and motels, as well as the acquisition or sale of other small-medium sized businesses including childcare centres. At all times Zoe remains focused on working closely with clients to resolve their issues in a commercially relevant and practical way. She is particularly skilled at finding the most efficient, straightforward and effective solutions to varying situations, fast becoming a trusted and loyal advisor to all clients.
