Allen Rosenberg

Following seven years at IBM, Allen worked in information technology, business process consulting, and operations management. Since his retirement in 2007, he has played leadership roles in a number of not-for-profit organisations and is a Life Member of the Stroke Recovery Association and Easts Bridge Club. Allen joined the COA Committee of Management in 2018. He adds value to the Committee through his experience in strategic and operations management , project management and finance management.

Anne Butt

Anne is the daughter of our beloved late Jack Krygier, and follows a strong family tradition in supporting COA. With her history as a registered nurse and founder of an organisation providing home help, Anne brings a wealth of professional knowledge to COA.

Barry Phillips

Job Titles:

  • Member of the Management Committee
Barry has extensive senior management experience in leadership of finance disciplines, including in healthcare, aged care and some not-for-profit exposure. He is a passionate advocate of COA's mission and is delighted to have the opportunity of playing a role in contributing towards COA. Barry joined COA in 2020.

Ben Politzer

Ben has a long history of volunteering as a leader with the Scout Association, and is currently District Commissioner. He is also a volunteer for B'nai B'rith. When Ben retired he wanted to give more back to the community and chose COA, where he has become a valuable member.

Edwin Garth

I came to COA on a work placement in 2001 and have been here ever since handling the computer side of meals deliveries and reporting meals statistics to the government each quarter.

Gary Knep - VP

Gary is the owner manager of a building company, and has extensive experience in project management, as well as years of involvement in Jewish communal organisations such as CSG. He is very pleased to be working more closely with COA.

George Freund

George is a man who prizes social connection and when he came in to volunteer in 2009 he very quickly brought his cohort of friends into COA. George's passion took him on to become president of COA, and he continues to work tirelessly in the role of Vice President.

Jackie Ryker

I joined COA in 2017 as a volunteer 1 day a week. This has now evolved into a 4 day week, doing general accounts, administration, and taking bookings for events and functions. I'm so happy to be giving back to the community and interacting with our members.

Lea Couston

After being based working at the airport for 12 years I wanted a change and felt drawn to COA and its close knit community. I love the atmosphere, it's a very caring environment, you feel very welcomed here. I love the seeing the happy faces during the activities, like knitting and art, the support and care is amazing, it's a great place to be a part of.

Peter Cappe

Peter has been a practicing Solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW since 1971 and has subsequently obtained a Master of Laws degree. In private practice his focus was on business and commercial law and insurance and civil litigation. He has served as a Local Courts Arbitrator for 21 years and as a District Courts Arbitrator for 9 Years hearing and determining a wide range on civil and personal injury claims.

Robbie Clifford

I joined COA as a volunteer in 2020, during the outbreak of COVID-19, drawn to the potential of the COA Fresh program. For 15 months, I managed volunteers and logistics, which was life changing. After refining my leadership skills, I returned as General Manager in 2023, excited to lead COA's renewed mission and community impact.

Romy Stuhler

Romy is a well-rounded leader having previously held roles in global food companies in Food Innovation, Development, Operations and People & Culture. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Food Science from the University of Pretoria. Romy has a passion and flair for culture, coaching and developing others, helping them to believe in and reach their potential and has recently started her own business (TEN Fit) empowering women to be their happiest and healthiest self.

Sylvia Franklin

Job Titles:
  • Chief Provisioning Officer
I have been working in the Catering and Events Industry for the past 7 years and look forward to bringing those skills back in to the community here at the COA. I look forward to assist in the ongoing success of the Kosher Meals on Wheels program as well as getting involved in other special projects.
