is an ophthalmologist with extensive surgical experience and training. He provides comprehensive eye care for both children and adults and performs a wide variety of surgical procedures with special interest in advanced cataract surgery, corneal surgery and laser vision correction. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina for both undergraduate and medical school and his residency was completed at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Gonzalez completed a fellowship in Cornea/Refractive Surgery at the University of Missouri. He is a member of several professional organizations and is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Special interests include: Laser Vision Correction (Z-LASIK), advanced cataract surgery with multi-focal implants and advanced corneal surgery (including DSEK and other corneal transplants).

He is a graduate of the New England School of optometry. Dr. Gentile worked as a resident at the VA outpatient Clinic in Boston and later operated a private practice for 17 years in New York. He came to Georgia 10 years ago where his company offered clinical and development opportunities to optometric practices. Dr. Gentile recently completed a contract from DOD at Tyndall A.F.B, Panama City, Florida. Appointed as clinical adjunct professor for Pacific University where he oversaw the externship program, mentoring 25 graduate students. He is excited to offer his extensive experience to the patients of Eye Associates of South Georgia, L.L.C.
