COOK Hammer Company was purchased August, 31, 2017 by Lapeer Manufacturing Company of Lapeer, MI. As of October 19, 2017, COOK Hammer Company has moved from its Warwick, RI facility and now operates out of the Lapeer plant in Lapeer, MI. We have expanded from the original line of lead hammers. Today we offer over 10 lines of hammers... In 1937 Lawrence H. Cook began making his hammers in East Providence, Rhode Island, because he saw the need for fine quality, non-marring hammers in local industry. He began producing lead hammers to meet this need, and COOK Hammer Company was born... We are a quality manufacturer of hammers in Rhode Island.
