CORNERSTONE MONEY MANAGEMENT - Key Persons

John J. Riley

Job Titles:
  • Associate
  • Chief Investment Strategist
The foundation of Cornerstone lies in the history of her founder, John Riley. As a new broker working for Dean Witter Reynolds in the mid 80's, John realized the value of conservative investment strategies when he saw investors and brokers, who were not prepared, get surprised by the devastating Crash of 1987. Seeing these events unfold first-hand lead John to focus on conservative and disciplined strategies to grow his clients' assets.

Michael Curtis

Job Titles:
  • Associate
  • Investment Advisor Representative, New England
  • Vice President of Managed Accounts at Cornerstone
Knowing clearly that he wanted to be involved in the "investment world" Michael started his career in London as a runner on the London Stock Exchange. He quickly advanced and was promoted through the ranks to Institutional Trader, where he built a thriving Institutional business around sound investment advice and exceptional service and support that benefited his clientele. After the "Big Bang", the computerization of the London Stock Exchange, Michael returned to the States and secured a position at Dean Witter Reynolds. His decision to establish a retail clientele was every bit as successful as his institutional days in London. As an investment advisor representative for retail investors, Michael enjoyed being able to make more of a difference offering advice to guide the retail investor through the vagaries of the markets. Today Michael is the Vice President of Managed accounts at Cornerstone. Having always respected and followed the investment philosophy of his colleague and friend at Dean Witter, John Riley, founder of Cornerstone, he did not hesitate to join what he refers to as an "exclusive, boutique investment firm for the discerning investor."
