Doug Hildebrand is an economist and was a founding partner of Columbia Pacific. Doug Hildebrand holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics (Distinction) from the University of Saskatchewan and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of British Columbia. Doug is a member and past president of the Association of Professional Economists of BC (APEBC). Doug is a co-founder of Columbia Pacific from its beginning in 1980 and has directed the firm's practice in economic development, regulatory and litigation support areas. Doug has had a front row seat and been an active participant over the years in the evolving methods for determining economic loss in personal injury and fatal accident claims. Doug has provided expert court testimony on numerous occasions across the full range of economic loss assessments relating to income loss, future care, financial dependency, household services, income tax gross-up and fund management fees. He is also trained in both commercial arbitration and mediation and has acted as mediator in numerous personal injury cases. Doug's interests are in global politics, bio science, travel, and, most importantly, his family and grandchildren.

Mark Gosling completed a Bachelor of Arts in Economics (Honours) at Simon Fraser University in 1993 and a Master of Arts in Economics at Simon Fraser University in 1994. Mark joined Columbia Pacific Consulting in 1995. Mark specializes in the assessment of economic damages in personal injury and fatal accident claims. For personal injury claims, this involves estimation of wage loss, pension loss, cost of future care and interdependent relationship benefits. For fatal accident claims, this involves estimation of the loss of financial support and the loss of household services. Mark has also undertaken numerous calculations related to income tax gross-up, investment fund management fees, public trustee fees and structures. Mark has testified before the Supreme Court of British Columbia on many occasions. Mark has also testified before the Alberta Court of Queen's Bench and the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal. Mark is a member of the National Association of Forensic Economics.

Mark Szekely holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Victoria and a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Western Ontario. Mark serves as a Director of the Association of Professional Economists of British Columbia (APEBC) and is also a member of the National Association of Forensic Economics (NAFE). As an economist with Columbia Pacific since 1998, Mark authors reports that estimate damages for motor vehicle, medical negligence, aviation, estate loss, family law, and other types of claims. Mark has worked with both plaintiff and defense lawyers in British Columbia, Yukon, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Washington State. Mark has given evidence in court on more than 50 occasions on issues that include loss of earnings, costs of care, financial dependency, household services, income tax gross-up, and fund management fees.

Mitchell Cassidy
