Starting with just several cars and trucks, he started "Cranes Auto Parts." As the years went on, he grew his inventory from several cars to over 2000 vehicles. He and his son Marcus ran the business until the late '80s. As Billy got older, he became less involved in the business. In 2007 his grandson Mark Crane purchased the business and began Metal Recycling and Auto Parts business as the 3rd generation family member.
