CTA was founded in 1961 by Mr. Warren Craven, P.E when he left his position as Assistant City Engineer for the City of Fort Lauderdale to start this firm. It was originally founded as an engineering and surveying firm, dedicated primarily to serving the needs of private sector clients in the rapid growing area of South Florida. Over the past 60+ years, Craven Thompson & Associates, Inc. has grown into a multi-disciplinary firm comprised of specialized teams, each fully staffed with top caliber surveyors, engineers, land planners, landscape architects and support personnel, serving clients in both the public and private sectors.
