CROSSROADS STAFFING - Key Persons

Laura Macey

Job Titles:
  • Operations Manager
Laura came to Crossroads Staffing in 2011, a stay at home mom for 3 years with an 8 year background in New Home Sales and Construction she didn't know where to begin looking for work again, always finding a job by referral she also didn't know what Employers were looking for in a resume. Laura found Crossroads Staffing at a job fair and we helped her with both! Laura has worked her way up to Sales Manager and then Operations Manager, her primary role is to oversee the operations of Crossroads Staffing and provide businesses of all sizes with solutions to meet their employment needs, increase awareness of our services and be involved in the community and provide ongoing support to current clients. I enjoy learning about peoples' companies, what they do, how they started, where they want to go and how we can help. I get a rush when a job seeker walks into our office and I know we've got the exact person our client is looking for. It's important to me to help people find a career or job they love and at the same time give our Employers a person that will compliment and contribute to their company and its goals. I think being at a crossroads in careers myself and finding this position the way I did helps me provide better customer service to our job seekers and my background in a family business and experience in construction and sales makes me aware and sensitive to the challenges Clients face with time and costs.

Sandy Gambell

Job Titles:
  • Financial Manager
Sandy came to Crossroads Staffing in 2013, offering us 14 years experience in payroll and accounting. She was also at a crossroads in her career, as her last company had recently closed its' doors and relocated. She was hired there as a receptionist/accounts payable clerk co-op student while pursuing her degree in the Georgian College Business Administration Accounting program. It wasn't long until her last employer realized her potential and asked her to stay on as a full-time employee. When a position in payroll opened up, they asked her if she would be willing to take it on as well, and even provided all her training! She had the benefit of having also been one of our clients for many years, so she understands first-hand what our clients' needs and expectations are. Sandy has continued to grow with Crossroads Staffing over the years and is now our Financial Manager. I love helping people. My job is constantly changing, as is the world around us. I love learning new things, facing new challenges and especially finding solutions to those challenges! I take great pride in doing anything I take on to the very best of my abilities. I think that is one of the reasons I love working here so much. I am only a small contributor to this great team. My co-workers have the same strong work ethic and commitment to our clients and employees as I do. That's what makes me proud to say that I work at Crossroads Staffing!
