Home Crescent Warehouse Company was founded in 1899 as part of the steverdoring firm, Crescent Warf and Warehouse Company. Crescent operates the only waterside warehouses in the Los Angeles/Long Beach Harbors and is the oldest tenant in the port of Los Angeles. Seattle Stevedoring Company acquired Crescent Warf and Warehouse Companyin 1984. Crescent Warehouse retained its original title when the corporate name was changed to Stevedoring Services of America.
