John Van Horn, Sr. started the business as a paper converter. Then transitioned into retail packaging where he was printing gift wrap and tissue paper for retail businesses all over the United States. In the mid 1990's John had a paper distributor ask if he could print a small quantity of custom-printed deli paper for a few different restaurants they had. After that request John saw the demand of small quantity, low-minimum custom-printed food service papers and developed the current side of his business. Since then, they have developed their machinery as well as their products to meet the demands of the market. With over 42 years of experience in the paper business John's knowledge, hard work, and expertise has allowed him to position Custom Packaging & Products, Inc. as the only manufacture for short-run, low-minimums of custom-printed food service papers in the United States.
