Solomon S. Abady is the principal of Abady Law Firm, P.C. Mr. Abady represents persons and companies involved in international trade, customs, and transportation, including litigation in the Federal courts and the U.S. Court of International Trade. Mr. Abady has extensive strategic and advisory legal experience in handling international trade and customs issues, and in collaborating with businesses to provide counsel and training on how to prevent and/or manage regulatory compliance programs to minimize risk and avoid litigation. He also has extensive experience in representing companies involving a wide range of import and export related matters pertaining to U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the Department of Commerce, including valuation, classification, country of origin, verification for Free Trade program eligibility, antidumping and countervailing duty issues, customs detention, penalties and forfeitures, trademark and copyright infringement, and broker compliance matters. In addition to practice before the U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the Department of Commerce, Mr. Abady has represented clients in matters involving U.S. Fish and Wildlife, the Food & Drug Administration, the Patent & Trademark Office, U.S. Trade Commission, Environmental Protection Agency, the Consumer Product Safety Commission, and the Department of Agriculture. Mr. Abady routinely represents NVOCC's, freight forwarders, and shippers in commercial and regulatory matters before the Federal Maritime Commission.
