GLORIA SMALL CLARKE - Founder

In 2008, Gloria became the founder and the Vice-Chair of the Durham Community Action Group. She worked with officials to mobilize young people in the community regarding mental health and high-risk students in order to implement skills and school-based programs. The objective was to develop employment opportunities and empower young blacks to excel in education. Marcellin David - Treasurer

Marcellin is the Treasurer of DCAG. She oversees the financial management and accountability of the organization. She prepares and monitors the annual budget, financial statements, and audits. She also ensures compliance with the financial policies and regulations of the organization and the government. She has a background in accounting and finance and works as a senior auditor at a reputable firm. She is skilled in financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting. She has been on the board of DCAG since inception and has been instrumental in improving the financial sustainability and transparency of the organization.

Rawle Elliott

Job Titles:
  • VICE CHAIR
Elliott is the Vice Chair of DCAG. He assists the Chair in leading and governing the organization. He presides over the board meetings and committees in the absence of the Chair. He also supports the strategic planning and evaluation of the organization, and acts as a liaison between the board and the staff. He has a wealth of experience in the non-profit sector, and is the director of a local foundation that funds various community initiatives. He is passionate about social change, collaboration, and innovation. He became the Vice Chair of DCAG in 2023 and has been a strong advocate for the organization's mission and vision.
