4) Bump the lamp. There's a very good Disney story of how the animators bumped the lamp in a Roger Rabbit scene. Bumping the lamp, made the scene difficult and pushed the design team to develop technical solutions. DataCan wanted to "bump the lamp" with each design. Give the customer something they didn't expect and push technology forward... 5) Free prize inside. Based on a marketing book by Seth Godin, talks about children buying cereal, not for the food, but because the box has a fun toy inside. We built our shipping cases out of expensive custom machined multi-color foam as a way of giving our customers a free prize. Something above and beyond what was normally available... 6) 20+ years. We want our customers, employees, and vendors to have lifelong relationships with DataCan. One sale isn't very exciting, 20+ years of sales are exciting. Customers want to know that DataCan will be there for them, supporting and developing our products throughout their lifetime.
