Howard Hustoft, President and Founder of Designer Homes, has over thirty years of experience in the construction industry. He started as a young man working in the family business. He has constructed over 100 homes in North Idaho, working in all phases of the process from concrete to framing, plumbing, electrical, drywall, and finish work. Howard moved to Alaska during the building boom of the early 1980's and worked in construction camps on the North Slope. He returned to his home in beautiful North Idaho to start a family and begin his career in home design. Howard's training included Autocad courses at North Idaho College. Howard founded Designer Homes in 1987, on the concept of providing his customers with quality designs that are workable and easy to read. With his extensive background in the construction industry, he is able to integrate his knowledge of industry practices with his creative techniques to produce a house plan that is not only beautiful and functional, but eliminates construction waste and reduces bottom line building costs. Achievements Designed and drafted 12 homes for the 2003 Parade of Homes Won 1st place awards for Architectural Design in 2003 Parade of Homes Designed and drafted 13 homes for the 2001 Parade of Homes Won 2nd & 3rd place for architectural design in the 2000 Parade of Homes
