EarthSmart Controls is locally owned and has been in business since 2009. EarthSmart emerged from Hunter Mechanical, after continued growth in the automation division. Randy Hunter started Hunter Automation in 1982, where he provided some of the first automation systems in the Oklahoma City area. Later, Hunter became more involved in the mechanical industry and the automation company expanded into Hunter Mechanical & Controls. With a renewed vision and vigor around 2007, the automation division of the business began to see more growth, and it became apparent that it was time to become a distinct entity.
