Amy B. Spiller - President

Amy Spiller is president of Duke Energy's utility operations in Ohio and Kentucky, which serves approximately 880,000 electric customers and 550,000 natural gas customers. She is accountable for advancing the company's rate and regulatory initiatives, and managing the government relations, economic development and community affairs functions throughout the region. Prior to assuming her current role in June 2018, Amy was vice president of government and community affairs for Duke Energy Ohio. In this role, she was responsible for state government and regulatory policies, strategies and relationships impacting Duke Energy Ohio's interests and those of its electric and natural gas customers. Amy also led the company's local community relations efforts with key stakeholders in southwest Ohio. Amy previously spent 10 years as deputy general counsel, where she helped shape and guide Duke Energy's regulatory strategic planning in Ohio and Kentucky. She was also responsible for advancing the company's rate and regulatory initiatives before the Kentucky Public Service Commission and Public Utilities Commission of Ohio. Amy joined Cinergy, a predecessor to Duke Energy, in 2003 as an associate general counsel focused on litigation. From 1993 to 2003, she rose from associate to partner at an insurance defense law firm in Cincinnati. Amy previously worked for a legal publishing company in northeast Ohio. She is a member of the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky bar associations. She is a member of the Ohio and Kentucky bar associations and admitted to a variety of federal courts, including the United States Supreme Court. Amy serves on the boards of directors of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, Northern Kentucky Regional Alliance, Port of Greater Cincinnati Development Authority, Mt. Auburn Community Development Corp. and REDI Cincinnati, the region's economic development initiative. She is also a member of the Ohio Business Roundtable, the Cincinnati Business Committee and the board of managers of the Cincinnati Center City Development Corp. Amy is a past board member of the Cincinnati USA Convention & Visitors Bureau, Cintrifuse, Red Bike, Accountability and Credibility Together and the Cincinnati Youth Collaborative, and was a member of the steering committee for the Greater Cincinnati Minority Counsel Program. She is a graduate of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber's WE Lead program and, in 2015, was inducted into the Hall of Fame of Duke Energy's Business Women's Network employee resource group in Cincinnati. Amy was one of eight women honored with the YWCA Greater Cincinnati's 2021 Career Women of Achievement award. A native of northern Michigan, Amy earned a bachelor's degree in economics and management from Albion College in Michigan and a law degree from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C. She and her husband, Keith, have lived in Cincinnati for more than 25 years.

Committee provides oversight of the nuclear safety, operational and financial performance as well as operational risks, long-term plans and strategies of Duke Energy's nuclear power program. The oversight role is one of review, observation and comment and in no way alters management's authority, responsibility or accountability. At least annually, the Operations and Nuclear Oversight Committee visits each of Duke Energy's operating nuclear power stations and reviews the station's nuclear safety, operational and financial performance.

Bonnie Titone - CIO, SVP

Bonnie Titone serves as Duke Energy's senior vice president and chief information officer. She leads the company's information technology operations and infrastructure, cyber and physical security functions, product delivery and support for various business areas, and the expanding digital transformation and data optimization strategy. Her team enables the company's broader efforts to transform and deliver a smarter, cleaner energy future and coordinates with peer utilities to ensure that our country's critical infrastructure, information and energy grid remain well protected. Titone joined Duke Energy in June 2019 from Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) in San Francisco, Calif., where she served as vice president of information business technology. In this role, she led technology delivery for all core business functions, including natural gas, electric, nuclear, energy supply, human resources, finance, supply chain, safety and environmental, security, risk management, legal and fleet operations. Titone was responsible for digital transformation, application and software delivery and operations. Titone has a deep history in information technology with more than 22 years in positions ranging from project management, operations and application delivery to portfolio management across the hospitality, financial services and automotive industries. Prior to her work at PG&E, Titone served in leadership roles at Volkswagen and Toyota, where she focused on software and project delivery, as well as strategic direction and alignment across multiple brands and countries. Titone serves on the board of directors for Young Black Leadership Alliance and is passionate about access to education for diverse populations, expanding STEM programs and mentoring women in technology. She serves as host chief information officer for Apparo, a nonprofit in Charlotte that assists local nonprofits with leveraging technology to improve business processes to expand their social change in the community. In addition, Titone serves on the governing body for Evanta, a Gartner Company that aims to create communities for chief information officers and chief information security officers across industries to share innovation, validate strategies and solve leadership challenges. Titone holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Pennsylvania State University. In her spare time, Titone enjoys watching and playing sports and traveling with friends.

Brian Savoy - CFO, EVP

Brian Savoy serves as executive vice president and chief financial officer for Duke Energy. He oversees the company's financial function, including the controller's office, treasury, tax, risk management and insurance. These duties include accounting, cash management and overseeing risk control policies. He also has responsibility for corporate development and enterprise strategy, with a focus on transforming the company's generation and transmission assets to achieve its net-zero carbon emissions goals. Before assuming his current position in September 2022, Savoy served as Duke Energy's executive vice president and chief strategy and commercial officer. In this role, he was responsible for enterprise strategy, commercial renewables, the natural gas business unit, business ventures and development, and relationship management and sales for large customer accounts. Previously, Savoy served as the company's chief transformation and administrative officer, where he led the company's business transformation through digital innovation, new ways of working and process redesign. He had responsibility for the enterprise business services and technology team, including the information and technology, administrative services, supply chain and human resources organizations. Prior to that, Savoy served as Duke Energy's chief accounting officer and controller. He joined the company in 2001 as a manager in Duke Energy's energy trading unit, Duke Energy North America, and he was named director of trading and risk services later in that year. Savoy led derivative accounting and trading control functions for energy trading and marketing activities and was instrumental in the successful wind-down and disposition of Duke Energy North America in 2005. Following Duke Energy's merger with Cinergy in 2006, he was appointed vice president and controller of the commercial power segments. In 2009, Savoy was named director of forecasting and analysis, where he played a significant role in addressing challenging business and strategic issues, including leading financial due diligence for the Duke Energy/Progress Energy merger completed in 2012. Before joining Duke Energy, Savoy was a manager with the international accounting firm Deloitte & Touche. Savoy earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, and completed the Advanced Management Program at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University in Durham, N.C. He is a certified public accountant in both Texas and Ohio. Savoy serves on the board of trustees for the Duke Energy Foundation. He is a board member of the Electric Power Research Institute. He also serves on the board of trustees for Queens University of Charlotte and was a past advisory board member for the Belk College of Business at UNC Charlotte. Committee is primarily responsible for the oversight of financial risk and enterprise risk at the Corporation. Committee considers risks and matters related to corporate governance and formulates and periodically revises governance principles. It recommends the size and composition of the Board of Directors and its committees and recommends potential successors to the Chief Executive Officer. The Corporate Governance Committee also recommends to the Board of Directors the slate of nominees, including any nominees recommended by shareholders, for director for each year's annual meeting of shareholders and, when vacancies occur, names of individuals who would make suitable directors of Duke Energy.
