Shari Elliott was raised in Bruce County and attended Ripley District Public and High School. Shari obtained her law degree at Dalhousie Law School, graduating in 1999. Her employment as a lawyer began with Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP as a summer student in 1998. She was on secondment to Imperial Oil following the completion of her articles until January of 2001 when she joined the firm's Environmental Law Group and General Litigation Department. Shari practiced in the areas of commercial litigation, environmental and energy law. Prior to starting Elliott & Elliott Shari was a partner with a local Barrie Law Firm. Shari joined Graham Partners LLP (formerly Graham, Wilson & Green) in 2005. In November 2010 Shari opened her own practice in Barrie. Shari has been a leader in offering services for all aspects of residential and commercial real estate transactions. She is uniquely positions to assist with properties that have an element of environmental impacts assisting the parties properly address and allocate any risks. Shari has written and presented extensively over more than a decade on all aspects of real estate transactions educating real estate agents to better assist their clients. All the areas of practice that Shari focuses on are property related. Shari takes pride in learning all aspects of the services she provides and not reaching outside her knowledge base. Shari has been involved in the changes to the Federal and Provincial Environmental Legislation related to contamination properties since 1999. In February 2000, Shari was part of the team retained by the National Round Table on Economic Development and the Environment (NRTEE) to assist in the preparation of a report to encourage brownfield redevelopment titled "Facilitating a Brownfield Redevelopment Strategy for Canada." The NRTEE reports to the Prime Minister of Canada. Shari is a past board member of the Royal Victoria Hospital and the Oro-Medonte Minor Hockey Association Board. Shari prides herself in her decision to specialize and not attempt a general practice. She specializes in real estate law. Her experience is complimented by her extensive knowledge of environment and expropriation law. Shari also embraces technology and adapts to her clients needs. Accommodating clients schedule and home visits are just two examples of the firm's client-centric philosophy.
