Terry Mitton has been a director at Eplus Architecture since 1998. He has a passion for design and project delivery. His 40 years of experience in the industry is defined by his capacity to solve problems, his ‘can do' approach and a commitment to achieve great outcomes for his clients. Underpinning this commitment is a belief that intelligent and considered design solutions are achieved through engagement and interaction with clients. The only chance of delivering successful projects is to ensure we have a complete understanding of our client's needs and expectations. Terry has extensive experience in master planning, design and delivery of education facilities, commercial buildings and fit-outs, medium density residential developments as well as bespoke private residences. He is a Project Leader. His strengths include project facilitation, interpretation and visualisation of project brief, resolution of issues and the capacity to instil a shared vision and team approach with everyone involved in a project: clients, consultants and builders. He is involved in all facets of project delivery from establishment of a brief, master planning, initial concept designs and feasibility studies, through to design development, documentation, project and construction management. Terry is a strong advocate that ‘function dictates form', ultimately it is the buildings purpose and how it needs function which informs the design solution, and the integrity of built form and the components that make the building. Buildings are for people, the people that live in them, work in them, visit and maintain them. They are something that should give us pleasure, something that inspires us. Buildings should enhance our lives and environment they occupy.
