John Blecha, MD joined ENT Physicians of Kearney in 2019 and sees patients at our main office in Kearney and his satellite offices at Community Hospital in McCook, Nebraska, Gothenburg Health in Gothenburg, Nebraska and Kearney County Health Services in Minden, Nebraska. Dr. Blecha was born and raised in Gothenburg, Nebraska. He completed his undergraduate studies with a degree in Chemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Nebraska - Kearney in 2010. He obtained his Medical Doctorate at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE in 2014. He completed his surgical training in Otolaryngology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2019. Dr. Blecha is Board Certified in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. He enjoys all areas of ear, nose and throat surgery and has a special interest in pediatric disorders, chronic sinus disease, facial trauma, neck masses and chronic ear disease. Dr. Blecha is excited to return to central Nebraska. He and his wife Heather enjoy spending time with their children and traveling when able. Dr. Blecha also is a golf enthusiast and enjoys the challenges the game presents.

Matthew S. Johnson

Matthew S. Johnson, MD joined ENT Physicians of Kearney in 2016 and sees patients at our main office in Kearney as well as his satellite offices at Cozad Community Hospital in Cozad, NE, Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege, Harlan County Health System in Alma and Lexington Regional Health Center in Lexington. Dr. Johnson was born in Fort Collins, CO and grew up in Boulder, CO. He completed his undergraduate studies with a degree in Psychology and Neuroscience from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2006. He obtained his Medical Doctorate at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver, CO in 2011. While there, he obtained the Doctoring Award for "demonstrating compassion, humanity, and respect of personhood in medicine." He completed his surgical training in otolaryngology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE in 2016. Dr. Johnson is Board Certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He enjoys performing the full breadth of ear, nose and throat surgery but also has special interests in endoscopic sinus surgery, pediatric otolaryngology, and facial plastic, trauma, and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Johnson initiated the otolaryngic allergy testing and treatment services now offered at ENT Physicians of Kearney. Dr. Johnson is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center - College of Medicine. He founded and serves as site director for the rural rotation all UNMC otolaryngology residents now complete as a part of their advanced surgical training. Dr. Johnson enjoys time with his wife and two children, experimenting as an amateur chef, dirt biking, and backpacking.

Megan Wilson

Megan Wilson, PA-C joined ENT Physicians of Kearney in June 2015. She sees patients at our main office in Kearney. Megan was born and raised in Kearney, NE, graduating from Kearney High in 2007. She completed her undergraduate studies in chemistry with an emphasis in molecular biology from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2011. She then obtained her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE in December 2013. She joined the Department of Otolaryngology at University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2014 where she received post-graduate training in Otolaryngology while working in the department prior to joining ENT Physicians of Kearney. Megan is board certified as a Physician Assistant by The National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is also a member of the Nebraska Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She has experience in all areas of ear, nose, throat, and head and neck disease. Her special interests include chronic diseases of the ear and sinuses. Megan enjoys traveling with her husband, spending time with their son, Husker volleyball & football and running with their Australian Shepherd, Knox.

Nikki Plummer

Nikki Plummer, Au.D., CCC-A, F-AAA joined ENT Physicians of Kearney in June of 2020 as a new graduate. She completed her one-year residency in Audiology at Arkansas Otolaryngology Center in Little Rock, Arkansas before joining us. She sees patients at our main office in Kearney and joins Dr. Blecha at his satellite clinic in McCook. Dr. Plummer was born and raised in North Platte, Nebraska, where she graduated from North Platte High School in 2012. She attended the University of Central Arkansas for undergraduate school and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2016. Dr. Plummer moved back to Nebraska for graduate school, where she earned her Masters of Hearing Science degree in 2018 and her Doctor of Audiology degree in 2020 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Dr. Plummer holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (F-AAA). Dr. Plummer is excited to be back in Nebraska and is eager to serve individuals with their hearing healthcare needs. She is passionate about what she does and enjoys treating patients of all ages. When she is not working, Dr. Plummer enjoys traveling, reading mystery novels, and spending time with her husband and family.

Thomas V. Connely, MD, FACS founded ENT Physicians of Kearney in 1994 and sees patients at our main office in Kearney and his satellite offices in Phelps Memorial Hospital in Holdrege, NE and Jennie M. Melham Memorial Medical Center in Broken Bow, NE. Dr. Connely was born in Broken Bow, NE and grew up in O'Neill, NE. He completed his undergraduate studies with a degree in biology and chemistry with an emphasis in biochemistry from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln in 1985. He obtained his Medical Doctorate at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE in 1989. He completed his surgical training in otolaryngology at the University of Louisville in Louisville, KY in 1994. Dr. Connely is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Connely is Board Certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He has extensive experience in all areas of ear, nose and throat surgery. His special interests include thyroid and parathyroid surgery, endoscopic tear duct surgery, and pediatric otolaryngology. Dr. Connely is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center - College of Medicine and College of Allied Health Professions. He provides clinical teaching to otolaryngology residents, family practice residents, and physician assistant students. Dr. Connely has served our community on the Kearney Catholic Foundation board, Good Samaritan Hospital board of directors, 5 Points Bank board of directors. He enjoys bow hunting, traveling with his wife and family, Husker Football, and golf.
