EXCEL PLUMBING - Key Persons
Joe is the newest addition to Excel Plumbing, joining us at the beginning of 2008. Joe has been in the plumbing industry for 15 years. Joe is a very detail oriented plumber and likes for his jobs to run smoothly, with little distraction.
Josh a.k.a "What can Brown do for you?" is a new addition to Excel, he joined us in December of 2007. Josh has been in the plumbing industry for 10 years. He is a very efficient worker and has a keen eye for detail.

Kevin a.k.a "Buck", although fairly new to Excel has had to put up with Ricky in the past! Buck started his career at Excel in 2007, but he worked with Ricky while at Mark Cook Plumbing. As Excel grew, Ricky needed someone who was familiar with running equipment, mainly the newly purchased Kubota tractor. Ricky was able to lure Buck away from doing electrical work and come on as our main equipment operator. Although a seasoned technician, his knowledge of the equipment usually gets him the "dirty" work.
Mike has been with Excel from the beginning. A long time friend of Ricky's, Mike has an extensive service repair background. If Mike can't fix it, it can't be fixed! Starting on the construction side when Excel opened, Mike transitioned over when our service department grew and required a full time service technician. He now helps coordinate service/repair work and makes sure our construction jobs run as smoothly as possible.
Mike has been with Excel since late 2004. Another long time friend of Ricky's, he is also the younger brother of Phil. Mike has an extensive background in inventory control and purchasing, as well as a knack for organization. He has implemented several new ideas to help Excel run more efficiently and is continually looking for ways to improve overall service and quality of Excel Plumbing, Inc. Mike handles all general office work, including general accounting functions, weekly payroll, scheduling, and his most difficult task; attempting to keep Ricky organized!
Phil a.k.a "Badger" has been with Excel since 2004. Phil is another long time friend of Ricky's and came to us from the HVAC industry where he transitioned easily. Phil started on the construction side and is a favorite among our contractors. When the time came for a new service manager, Phil was more than excited to take on that roll. He was so excited in fact, that when he told one of our contractors he was going in to "service", that contractor called up Ricky and couldn't believe Phil was heading in to the Army! Obviously, that wasn't the case. As service manager, Phil helps coordinate and performs service/repair work and strives to give all our customer "EXCEL lent" service!
Ricky is the proud owner of Excel Plumbing. He has been in the plumbing industry since he was 15 years old where he started working for Davie Supply in Mocksville. After a small hiatus to work in the furniture industry, Ricky went to work for Bodenheimer Plumbing in the service department. From there he took his knowledge back to the supply counter and worked for a short time at Parnell-Martin before moving on to Mark Cook Plumbing. At Mark Cook Plumbing, Ricky managed the service department's day to day activities and began handling key contract re-models. In 2003, Ricky decided it was time for him to take on the roll of owner/operator and opened Excel Plumbing, Inc.
