The "roots" of surveying by harmsen & partners were established almost 50 years ago, when the company's founder Fred G. Harmsen van der Vliet began his career as a young surveyor for marine cargo claims, with the emphasis on fresh fruit and vegetable claims in the port of Rotterdam. His perception of service and his skill and experience built up over the years have since been constantly engaged for over more than four decades world-wide, by cargo interests and marine cargo underwriters alike.
