Lizzette Duran, founder and CEO of FTHR, Inc. has over ten years of progressive experience in Human Resources management within high tech, fast growth companies in the Silicon Valley. She has successfully developed Human Resources departments within three pre-IPO companies (two of which went public in 1999). Ms. Duran has extensive experience in all aspects of HR management which include among other things, basic HR process design, policy development, recruitment strategy, employee relations, compensation planning, management training and coaching and has sophisticated knowledge of HR systems technology. Ms. Duran has long been a champion of progressing Human Resources into a new, strategic business model that further leverages a company's internal resources to optimize organizational effectiveness. She has applied both her recognized skill in driving optimal efficiency out of core business processes and her keen knowledge of systems technology to create competent and practical solutions for HR and workforce management. Starting her career at Cisco Systems, Inc. in San Jose, Ms. Duran worked on solutions that moved HR functionality on-line before the "Internet" revolutionized the way we do business. Her zeal for building solutions through integrated technology was recognized by management resulting in her progression into senior HR management roles. During her tenure at three pre-IPO companies, VDONet Corporation, Mpath Interactive, Inc. (now HearMe.com) and Informatica Corporation, she built HR operations from inception to full function. In addition Ms. Duran has set-up European HR infrastructure for operations in the UK, Germany, Switzerland, and The Netherlands. (Informatica Corp. and HearMe.com are now publicly traded companies on the NASDAQ.) Ms. Duran has a BS degree in Organization Behavior from the University of San Francisco and has a Certificate in Human Resources Strategic Management from the University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business. She continues to refresh her expertise through continuing executive education in the areas of HR strategic management and HRIT and is an active member in several HR professional organizations. Now after successfully building HR departments for pre-IPO companies, Ms. Duran is packaging her knowledge of process design efficiency, strategic HR management and keen understanding of HR systems technology to offer other growing organizations practical and smart solutions to get them on the right track, FAST!
