Facility Builders is expert in all delivery methods. We assume the role of General Contractor for projects that implement the traditional approach known as Design-Bid-Build. In this delivery method both preliminary and detailed architectural drawings are completed (by someone else) prior to submitting construction out for bids. We become involved if and when our bid is accepted. This limits our opportunity for providing pre-construction services, but risks of any change orders are borne by the Owner... An alternative delivery method is called Design-Build, and in this case FB&E assumes the role of Design Builder. Here, we are responsible for both the design and the construction, working in close collaboration with an architectural team that we select.
