FEINBERG CONSULTING - Key Persons

Barrett Harr

Job Titles:
  • Director of Addiction & Mental Health Services
  • Director of Quality & Training Solutions / Case Manager
I graduated with a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies from the University of Texas at Dallas and a master's in religious education from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. I have spent over 20 years working with youth and families, in the areas of leadership development, spirituality, and mental health. As a parent of a child who has struggled with mental health, anxiety, and school refusal, and seen its impact on my family and marriage I know how hard it can be. We stopped going places or having people over as we didn't know how our child was going to react that day. When other parents would vent about their ‘moody' children, it felt like we couldn't relate as our situation was so different. We struggled to find the right resources that would help our child, went through endless appointments and tests, spent lots of money, and felt like nothing helped. It felt like at every turn we were getting pointed a different direction, and getting conflicting information from providers. I needed someone to trust, who wouldn't only give me a referral but who was committed to joining our family on the journey as we worked to find a path forward. Luckily, we eventually got on the right track and after a significant amount of work, our child is thriving in high school.

Certified Case

I hold a graduate degree in social work from Wayne State University. I am a Certified Case Manager and Brain Injury Specialist with over 15 years of experience providing case management services to the injured and their families. I have worked in acute, post-acute, and community-based settings. I specialize in brain injury rehabilitation, as well as addiction recovery consulting to clients who are suffering from addiction or substance abuse as a result of their catastrophic injuries. I have a passion to address the physical and mental health needs of my clients through their recovery and rehabilitation process. I can best be described as a kind, empathic, and passionate advocate. Outside of work I am very involved within my church community, and several online support groups. I am the mother of two active boys. In my spare time, I enjoy fitness including cycling, strength training, and running. I earned my Bachelor of Science from Wayne State University and am a Certified Case Manager. I left my longstanding career in home health care to do something relative but different. I found my niche in catastrophic case management. In this field, I have the opportunity to advocate for clients who have been catastrophically injured in motor vehicle accidents and facilitate their rehabilitation needs to obtain maximum medical improvement. I have been in this field since 1999. Similar to home health care, I work with clients one-on-one, along with their family and medical providers, to help them achieve their goals for maximum medical improvement. While using my nursing and medical knowledge from many years as a home health care nurse, I am able to orchestrate client care after injury including recommendations for medical providers, medical equipment, multidisciplinary therapies, psychological needs related to adjustment to injury, personal care needs, alternate residential requirements if needed, as well as educational and vocational needs. I am part of the care team and in continuous communication with all of the providers to ensure that clients are progressing in their rehabilitation and working towards achieving their goals. As the clients improve, my personal goal is to empower my clients/families to take on my role, in order to manage their health care needs independently. Realistically, this is not always possible. After coming to Feinberg Consulting in 2006, I have had the opportunity to work one-on-one with clients and their families to educate them on their rehabilitation needs and goals of optimal wellness. I utilize my compassion and extensive background in health education, as I collaborate with physicians in advocating for clients' needs and the expectations of therapists to help achieve maximum medical improvement. My primary goal is to see my clients transition from a place of medical need to a place of emotional and physical strength. My personal philosophy is, "anything is possible, believe it, and you can do it." In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, concerts of all venues of music, theatre, dancing, singing, and spending time with family and friends.

One of my favorite motto's to live by is, "you didn't come this far to only come this far." Every day is new chance to learn and grow! Outside of my career, my sons are my number 1. I believe they have contests on who can make me laugh the hardest. My rescue Great Dane, Loki, is my number 2 - all slobber, hair, and a big mushy heart, he thinks he is a lap dog and, well at 140 pounds, he kind of gets his way. The rest of the time you will find me hanging with friends and family, working in my garden, or reading.

Pam Feinberg-Rivkin

I founded Feinberg Consulting in 1996 and have worked hard over the years to build a strong team of multidisciplinary medical and business professionals. Through this, I have developed a mentorship and leadership training program that has successfully trained many professionals. The mentorship program strengthened our team, ensuring the highest quality of services are provided to each client we serve. Through my continued commitment to client advocacy, I also became a trained interventionist. In 2013 I underwent a formalized intervention training by Jeff and Debra Jay called Love First. In 2014, I underwent the BreakFree Intervention training with Brad Lamm, and in November 2015, I went through additional training with Judith Landau, M.D, in the ARISE Invitational Intervention Model. As a Certified Case Manager, I have found many similarities in the continuum of care that Dr. Landau offers for individuals in recovery and what Feinberg Consulting has provided for people who have sustained catastrophic injuries. It's all about providing our clients direction, education, and advocacy to support their healing and recovery journey. Through our interventions, clinical management, case management, family, and recovery coaching, our team creates remarkable opportunities for individuals and families to heal.

Susan Himes

Job Titles:

I received my bachelor's degree in psychology from Oakland University in 2013. Shortly after, I began a Ph.D. program with Kansas State University in Cognitive Psychology. Over those four years, I was a graduate teaching assistant, graduate research assistant, college instructor, and tutor. It was during this time I realized my passion was moving away from research/academia and toward a practical setting. Prior to joining Feinberg Consulting, I worked as an office assistant for Michigan Auto Law in which my primary task was to obtain billing records for clients involved in motor vehicle accidents. Navigating the healthcare and insurance industries can be a confusing and time-consuming process, even during the best of circumstances. After seeing the complexity of care and recovery, I knew I wanted to get involved. Feinberg made this an easy goal to achieve due to their great reputation, hard-working team, and compassionate support for their clients.
