Ainsley Stapleton

Upon graduating from The George Washington University (GWU), with honors, with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Ainsley Stapleton started her accounting career with Frank & Company. Not one to rest on her academic laurels, she later went on to earn a Master of Science in Accounting from GWU and a Master of Science in Biostatistics from Georgetown University. During Ainsley's almost 20-year career at Frank & Company she quickly rose through the ranks and was named Audit Manager. Throughout all of her academic quests, Ainsley continued her work at Frank & Company where she is a valued member of management and has become the firm expert on retirement plan auditing and administration. She also has a wealth of experience with our real estate, government contractor, and non-profit audit clients. Completing the CPA exam is a rite of passage for every public accountant, but very few achieve this goal with distinction. Ainsley achieved the highest score on the November 2002 CPA exam in Washington, DC and was the recipient of the Gold Medal Award. Ainsley has quite a full household including her husband, 3 children, 3 cats, and multitudes of plants. When not spending time with her family, Ainsley is the Treasurer of the Crystal City Children's Daycare, enjoys playing squash, and cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles.

Barbara Lipson

As a tax manager at Frank & Company, Barbara Lipson works with many individuals as well as small businesses and their owners to minimize their tax burden and meet their tax filing obligations. She supervises staff accountants in the preparation of corporate, partnership, fiduciary, pension, and individual income tax returns. Barbara also works with several businesses with operations overseas and individuals who are living or have assets in foreign countries. Barbara started her career in public accounting in 1989 which is when she first joined Frank & Company as a staff accountant. Barbara has spent most of her career working with tax clients at Frank & Company, but she has spent time working for an international public accounting firm, an internet startup, and a financial planning firm before returning to Frank & Company as a Tax Manager. Barbara is a Certified Public Accountant, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and a member of the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Virginia (UVa). After working for six years, Barbara returned to UVa where she earned her Masters of Science in Taxation. During her time away from the office, Barbara manages the 4Paws Rescue Team, www.fourpaws.org, an animal-related nonprofit organization.

Kendall Tatum

Kendall Tatum is Frank & Company's Information Technology manager. He oversees the daily operations of the IT department and provides firm clients with IT consulting services ranging from support to systems design. His over 17 years' experience in the industry includes systems design and administration, project management, network administration, wireless local area network deployments, and disaster recovery planning.

Linda Lo

Linda Lo joined Frank & Company as the Tax Manager in December 2016. Linda started her accounting career with a small public accounting firm in Chicago, where she worked closely with small business owners and individuals. From July 2007 to September 2009, Linda worked for a Big4 firm and became the tax manager before she moved to Virginia due to her husband's job relocation. After moving to Virginia, Linda joined a regional public accounting firm (later merged to a national firm) in the Tyson Corner and became the Tax Senior Manager prior to joining Frank & Company. Linda is a Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She is a member of the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants as well as the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Linda is happily married with her husband of 10 years. They have a 6-year old son. While not at work, Linda enjoys spending time with her family, driving her son around to different activity classes and cooking/baking.

Marnette Myers

Ms. Myers is a Certified Public Accountant and attorney licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She is a member of the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants as well as the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and American Bar Association. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Virginia Tech and her Juris Doctor, with honors, from George Washington University Law School. Ms. Myers has been recognized by Northern Virginia Magazine and the Washingtonian Magazine as a top tax advisor in the metropolitan DC area for several years. Additionally, she is the treasurer of the Greater McLean Chamber of Commerce and the McLean Revitalization Corporation. As Frank & Company's Director of Tax Administration, Marnette Myers maintains close contact with clients to maximize their tax planning opportunities and supervises the preparation of not-for-profit, corporate, partnership, fiduciary and individual income tax returns by the firm's staff accountants. R. Matthew Frank

R. Matthew Frank (Matt) has enjoyed being an accountant with Frank & Company for over ten years. As a Certified Public Accountant and Manager with the firm, he is primarily responsible for servicing our not-for-profit tax clients. Supporting the programs of the organizations and helping them achieve their goals has been a rewarding experience for him. In addition to his not-for-profit experience, Matt has experience in tax, audit, accounting, consulting, and other financial services to a diverse group of individuals, government contractors, and small and medium sized entities. To facilitate his client's international tax and assurance needs he has worked closely with the Geneva Group International (GGI) and their member firms. He is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA). As a proud alumnus of George Mason University, it is always a pleasure for him to return to campus and participate on the GMU Accounting Advisory Council. Robert H. Frank - CEO

As the managing partner at Frank & Company, Robert Frank directs the operations of the firm. Bob founded Frank & Company in 1978 and oversaw the firm's growth to one of the top 25 ranked accounting firms in the Washington, DC, area. For over 35 years Bob has been recognized throughout the community as an industry expert and civic leader. His specialized experience includes auditing financial statements of for-profit and not-for-profit entities; representing clients and presenting findings to regulatory and appeals bodies; assessing tax compliance; consulting to boards of directors on strategic planning; direct marketing fundraising for charitable organizations; and examining organizational operations to ensure compliance with SOP 98-2 and OMB Circular A-133.

Sandy Mudd

Sandy Mudd joined the Frank & Company family in 2002, serving as the firm administrator. In that role, her responsibilities include overseeing the daily operation and administration of the office, including financial management, human resources, and benefits administration. Sandy also works closely with clients to provide day-to-day accounting and financial management services which includes check writing, depositing funds, and general ledger account management. Prior to joining Frank & Company, Sandy served the private sector in multiple capacities including working in the property management, government contracting, real estate development, and utility industries. She has over 30 years of professional experience providing accounting and office management. Sandy received her Associates Degree in Accounting from Northern Virginia Community College in 1980. Sandy is also a Notary Public in the Commonwealth of Virginia. In her spare time, Sandy spends time reading, gardening, and spoiling her grandchildren.

Scott Davis

Scott has extensive experience in all phases of the audit process, including planning and design of the audit approach, supervision and review, preparation of management recommendations and financial reporting. Scott is responsible for advising clients on accounting policies and technical issues and facilitating continuous year round client communications needs. Scott has served numerous entities throughout his career and has specialized in nonprofit and government organizations. Scott has extensive experience assisting nonprofit organizations with a variety of issues, including audits, single audits in accordance with Uniform Guidance, responding to Government audit findings, and assisting with complex accounting transactions. Scott has served nonprofit organizations throughout the D.C. Metro area, North Carolina, and Florida. Scott is a frequent speaker and instructor at industry conferences and previously served as the internal instructor of Nonprofit Audit and Accounting continuing professional education at a previous firm. Scott focuses on serving a variety of nonprofit organizations, including, educational institutions, charitable organizations, and membership organizations. Scott holds Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and is Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice in Virginia, North Carolina, Michigan, and Florida. Scott is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants. Scott currently serves on the VSCPA Professional Ethics Committee and as a VSCPA Educational Foundation Board Member. Sue Miller

Sue has more than 30 years of experience in tax compliance and planning and served for over 15 years as Frank & Company's Director of Tax Administration. Even though Ms. Miller moved to the Charlottesville, VA in April 2008, she continues to work closely on tax and planning issues for the firm's not-for-profit, corporate, partnership, fiduciary and individual clients. Ms. Miller is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants as well as the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Connecticut College and M.B.A. in Accounting and Finance from George Mason University.
