Alexander F. Baten-Tschan

Dr. Baten-Tschan grew up in Potomac, Maryland and earned his Bachelor's of Science in Biology from the University of Maryland in College Park. He completed a Master's degree in Physiology at Georgetown University. He then attended medical school at the Virginia Commonwealth University (otherwise known as the Medical College of Virginia). He completed his residency in Ophthalmology at Penn State University at Hershey Medical Center and his glaucoma fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania Scheie Eye Institute. He has particular expertise in complex glaucoma and cataract surgeries and looks forward to providing our community with the thoughtful, sophisticated glaucoma care they deserve. When Dr. Baten-Tschan is not working, he enjoys several hobbies including playing and watching sports, outdoor activities, travelling, and spending time with his wife and family.

Alyson L. Hall

Dr. Hall, a New York native, earned her Bachelor's of Science in Chemistry from Spelman College. She attended medical school at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She completed her Ophthalmology residency at the State University of New York at Stonybrook-Nassau County Medical Center and her glaucoma fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania Scheie Eye Institute. After her fellowship, Dr. Hall practiced with Glaucoma Eye Care Physicians at the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary. She served as Director of the glaucoma service at Metropolitan Hospital Center and as Assistant Clinical Professor at New York Medical College. Throughout her career, Dr. Hall has remained committed to increasing awareness about glaucoma, the leading cause of blindness in African Americans. She has lectured nationally and served as medical director of a glaucoma support group in NYC. She has also participated in numerous clinical trials involving medical therapy for ocular hypertension and glaucoma. Dr. Hall is a frequent lecturer on contemporary medical and surgical treatment options for glaucoma. Dr. Hall, a board-certified ophthalmologist, has practiced in Maryland since 1998. The Glaucoma Center, P.C., which she founded in 2001, is devoted exclusively to thoughtful, sophisticated glaucoma care with an overriding goal of providing the complete spectrum of medical and surgical care for glaucoma patients.

Dr. Kevin C. Greenidge

Judy C. Hu

Dr. Hu graduated from the University of Rochester with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. She attended optometry school at the University of California Berkeley School of Optometry. She completed her residency in ocular disease at the Baltimore Veterans Affairs Medical Center. As a resident, Dr. Hu had extensive training in treating and managing ocular conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease. She also worked closely with faculty from The Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute and experts in various sub-specialties. It was during her residency that she developed a strong interest in glaucoma. After completing residency, Dr. Hu joined a general ophthalmology practice in Baltimore and provided routine eye care and ocular disease management. Her passion for treating glaucoma brought her to The Glaucoma Center, PC. When Dr. Hu is not working, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with her rescue dog Buddy.
