GLAZIER - Key Persons

Andrew S. Glazier - Shareholder

Job Titles:
  • Shareholder
Andrew Glazier is dedicated to helping businesses move from start-up to success. Andrew also specializes in technology law, helping technology-focused businesses handle corporate matters, development, and licensing; as well as advising clients on complying with privacy and security protections. He also advises clients on corporate matters, including ways to structure their entities; manage issues with employment, financing, and contracts; and how to expand or sell their businesses. Andrew's experience with the law began early, as their parents met in law school and ultimately founded the Firm, though Andrew was initially much more interested in technology than the law. He experienced firsthand the growth of the Internet and the shift into a digital world, easily learning and adapting to new technologies. While he originally planned to become an engineer, he discovered that their talents lay more in business and law. Andrew worked for the Firm and other law-adjacent groups as an intern for several summers, learning principles of business law before and during law school. Andrew's experience and interests came full circle when he began their legal career by bringing business law experience to Sapronov & Associates, P.C., a telecommunications and technology firm in Atlanta. He worked as an associate from 2012 to 2014, and continues to work with the former firm from time to time on an ‘of counsel' basis. Andrew ultimately returned to Jacksonville to join the Firm as an associate and fill a gap in its business practice, bringing technology law experience with them. Andrew became a partner of the Firm in 2020 alongside Viv Dietrich, with our Firm becoming Glazier, Glazier & Dietrich. Outside of work, Andrew enjoys pursuing their hobbies with their partner Jeremy and their border collie Watson (who sometimes will greet you at the Firm's office!). He pursued creative outlets by organizing and running roleplaying games in the community and building and showing off cosplay. Andrew also follows the struggles of his beloved Gamecocks in football and enjoys auto racing in all its various forms.

Scott L. Glazier - President, Shareholder

Job Titles:
  • President
  • Shareholder
  • Chairman of the Jacksonville Bar Association
Scott serves as the Transactional Law Section Chairman of the Jacksonville Bar Association. Positioned as a thought leader with in-depth knowledge of how best to structure corporate deals, Scott is also a prolific member of several industry and trade associations, including the American Health Lawyers Association and the Small Business Resource Network. Scott Glazier represents business entities of all sizes ranging from start-up companies and small businesses to multi-million dollar companies doing business on a national and international basis. Scott advises and counsels clients on a wide variety of legal matters, including choice of entity and entity formations, general corporate and contract matters, loan financing, asset, stock purchases and sales, mergers, employee benefit and incentive plans, federal and state taxation, healthcare law, and real estate matters. He also advises individuals on business succession, estate planning, and probate law. Scott's practice philosophy is to be both legal counsel and a business adviser. His approach to most legal issues is first to consider the risks and rewards to the client from a possible course of action, next to evaluate the issue from an economic standpoint and finally to attack the problem or issue from a technical viewpoint applying applicable legal principles and his years of experience. Scott's goal is to communicate with clients using clear and understandable terms without attempting to impress the client with "legalese" or obscure legal references. Scott began his legal career as an associate in the Corporate and Tax Department of Brant, Moore, Sapp, Macdonald and Wells, P.A. in 1985, and became a partner in 1991. During his fourteen years with that firm, Scott helped the practice grow from seven lawyers to over twenty lawyers while also serving as the firm's managing partner for four years. Scott credits the mentorship of the senior partners in that firm with his understanding of both legal issues or also client relations. In late 1999, recognizing an entrepreneurial opportunity, Scott and his wife, Cynthia Glazier, combined their practices to form Glazier & Glazier, P.A. which became Glazier, Glazier & Dietrich, P.A. in 2020. Scott is proud that the Firm is a family-owned-and-operated business like so many of its clients. Scott and his wife, Cynthia (who he met in law school), practiced together for over 14 years until Cynthia retired from her Family Law practice. In 2014, their son, Andrew, joined the Firm. The Firm's other partner, Viv Dietrich, first joined the Firm in 2000 as a Law Clerk and then later served as an Associate Attorney until 2005 when her husband's military commitment took them to Virginia. However, Viv returned "home" to the Firm in 2017 and became a partner along with Andrew in January of 2020. Scott has another son, Nicholas, who is married and works as a Manager at a Disney resort hotel having worked his way up from cleaning bathrooms and emptying trash in the Magic Kingdom. Scott's other "children" are his beloved dogs, Mojo, a Border Collie, Ella, a Papillion, and Cappy, a very cute Norfolk Terrier. When you enter our offices, you may even be lucky enough to be greeted by one of these friendly characters. Mojo and Ella have multiple AKC titles in Agility and Mojo is a certified pet therapy animal having served at Baptist Beaches Hospital. Outside of work, golf is Scott's passion and he is proud of his single-digit handicap. Scott and Cyndy also enjoy travel (especially cruises), dining out with friends, ballroom dancing and the beach.
