Global Oceanographic DAta Center (GODAC) was established by JAMSTEC in Nago City, November 24, 2001. GODAC archives various data, such as videos and photos, obtained by JAMSTEC vessels and submersibles and opens those to the public. GODAC also promotes education on earth science and oceanography... GODAC maintains and provides digital archives, various images and other documents about deep-sea. Thepublic facilities are available to foster better understanding of marine science and technology... JAMSTEC promotes research and studies on the understanding of the global environment, the utilization of ocean resources, and seismic and volcanic activities. In addition, we create new value from the data obtained through our research activities to contribute to the needs of society and the economy.
