Anna Glover DeBruyne

Anna Glover DeBruyne joined the Glover team after four years of working in the Wake County Public School System as a Digital Media Teacher and Academy Coordinator. She has a degree in Technology, Engineering, and Design Education from NC State. Anna is a third-generation member of the family business, along with her sister Catherine, and loved visiting the office and local sites when she was a child. Her background in engineering education sets the perfect foundation and will allow her to spend time learning the business and operations side. In her free time, Anna enjoys spending time with her husband, Matthew, and golden retriever, Murphy, as well as reading and attending NC State athletic events. Her advice to students: "Opportunities are not going to just fall into your lap. Seek them out and ask for them. Everyone has to start somewhere, be willing to spend time learning new things. "

Brett Overton

Job Titles:
  • Accounts Payable & Controller / Equipment
Brett Overton has been a part of the Glover team for nearly a decade. Originally joining the team as a college intern, Brett now serves as Glover's Accounts Payable & Controller, overseeing accounting operations, and payables and receivables. At Glover, Brett is appreciative of the positive work environment and teamwork. Outside of the office, he enjoys hunting and fishing. Brett's advice for students: "Relationships are key. Introduce yourself to as many people as possible. Opportunities are out there for people who put forth the effort."

Catherine Glover Frazier - VP

  • Generation Member
Catherine Glover Frazier joined the Glover team after graduating from NC State University. Promoted to Vice President in 2023, she is actively involved in the overall management of the business. She oversees the company's human resource efforts, and is responsible for the oversight and administration of the company's business insurance and risk management programs. Her background in public relations and marketing also helps her lead the company's communication efforts. As a third-generation member of the family business, Catherine grew up with an appreciation for the industry. Since joining the team, she has developed a passion for the business and the vitality of the construction industry to the local economy and especially wants to educate the younger generation about the opportunities construction can provide. Outside of the office, you'll find her cheering for the Wolfpack and, like her Papa and Dad, she enjoys heading down to the farm to deer hunt. Additionally, alongside her husband and in-laws, she is active in Special Olympics, where she has worked on the Games Management Team for Powerlifting at the annual Special Olympics North Carolina Summer Games, the 2018 and 2022 Special Olympics USA Games in Seattle and Orlando, and the 2019 and 2023 Special Olympics World Summer Games in both Abu Dhabi and Berlin. Her advice to anyone considering a career in construction: "In this industry, there are ample opportunities for men and women of all ages in offices and in the field, with varying skill sets. A career in construction is hard work, but it is also very rewarding."

Ed Martin

A Glover team member since 1988, Ed Martin has more than 30 years of experience managing and estimating construction and civil projects. As Chief Engineer and Estimating Manager, Ed manages the engineering department, oversees the preparation of all bids and project manages the work Glover is awarded. Ed holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from North Carolina State University. He entered the construction industry because - as a child - he always enjoyed building something from nothing. In his free time, Ed enjoys hunting, fishing, and playing golf and softball. His advice to students: "There are so many opportunities in construction - from being an operator to being an engineer. There is something for everyone, at every level of education."

J.M. Glover - Chairman

Founder and current Chairman of Glover Construction, J.M. Glover, has more than 70 years of grading and construction experience. After serving as a military police officer in the United States Army, he returned to his roots in Northampton County, N.C. There, he started his own logging and grading company to assist local landowners in developing their land to meet their timber, pasture, pond and agriculture needs. In 1975, J.M. incorporated his company in North Carolina. Since then, it's grown to do business in several states across the Southeast. J.M. served as the company's President through 2022, and transitioned into the role of Chairman of the Board in January 2023. He was succeeded as President by his son, Matt, who has worked alongside him since 1980. Now in his 90s, J.M. still is actively involved in every aspect of the business, from equipment purchasing to the bidding process and senior staff management. Each day, he is on the ground either at the office or a job site ensuring that his team is upholding his high standards of quality, efficiency and ethical operation. In his free time, J.M. enjoys hunting, planting food plots on his farms, as well as reading books about both United States and world history.

Keith Bryant

Keith Bryant, Director of Business Development, has been with Glover for 10 years, leading new business efforts, customer relations and retention, and contract negotiations. Keith grew up helping his dad build custom homes, which initially fueled his passion for the construction industry. Now, his favorite part about his job is connecting with vastly different people on a daily basis. For Keith, the most important things in his life are his faith, family and friends. He loves cheering on the ECU Pirates and Washington Redskins, hunting, fishing, and visiting the ocean. His advice for students: "Learn to operate all types of equipment, become an expert in GPS and master both English and Spanish."

Matt Glover - President

Job Titles:

Matt Glover, President, leads the management and corporate strategy of Glover's construction projects, ranging from mass excavation and grading to heavy civil and landfill construction. He has been with the company for more than 40 years, since graduating from Chowan University and NC State University with a degree in Agronomy. In 2023, Matt assumed the role of President from his father, J.M., whom he continues to work alongside and in coordination with today. He is responsible for the oversight all of the daily operations and management decisions both administratively and technically as it relates to project. He is also particularly involved in the financial and legal realms of business, in addition to the technical matters and negotiations with project clients as a management representative. One of Matt's favorite projects has been developing a new general aviation area and taxiway extension connecting the runway to the general aviation area at Raleigh-Durham International Airport. Aside from his personal interest in aviation, this project was rewarding for Matt, given the many challenges his team navigated without disrupting the airport's use of the nearby runway or navigational systems. Matt is a proud holder of a private pilot license, which he utilized for many years to take aerial photos of Glover Construction's projects, and as a mode of transportation to get to project meetings and bid events. Additionally, in his free time, Matt enjoys bow hunting, fishing on Lake Gaston and attending NC State athletic events. Glover Construction is a proud member and participant of:

Michael Lewallen

Job Titles:
  • Environmental, Health & Safety Director ( EH & S )
Michael "Mike" Lewallen, Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) Director, is responsible for ensuring compliance with Glover's health, safety and environmental impact policies across the organization. His favorite projects are those with companies whose core safety values closely align with Glover's, as shared safety priorities are imperative to a safe working environment.

Stacy Holloway

Job Titles:
  • Payroll Administrator
  • Company 's Payroll Administrator
A Glover team member for nearly 15 years, Stacy Holloway currently serves as the company's Payroll Administrator. Her primary duties include managing the payroll, employee benefits and insurance, and conducting state and federal reports. In her free time, Stacy watches college football and women's softball. She also enjoys taking spontaneous trips with her husband, spending time with her daughter and getting together for family cookouts.

Thad Harris

Job Titles:
  • Service Manager
Thad Harris, Service Manager, has been with Glover for nearly 40 years, where he supervises a team of experienced shop and field mechanics, and the overall maintenance and repair program of the company's extensive equipment, truck and vehicle fleets. He also enjoys creating equipment attachments and modifications to increase productivity. Over his 40 years with Glover, his favorite projects have been ones where he designed and constructed large, sheepsfoot rollers and other equipment attachments meant to increase quality and productivity. When Thad is not working, he enjoys hunting, browsing car shows, and rebuilding classic cars.

Thomas Jernigan

Job Titles:
  • Fleet Manager
Thomas Jernigan serves as Glover's Equipment Fleet Manager with over 10 years of experience working with NCDOT. Growing up on a family farm taught him that hard work, dedication and faith are needed to keep yourself going as well as the equipment. Thomas graduated from NC State with a B.A. in Leadership and a minor in Agriculture Business Management. He also received his A.A.S in Heavy Equipment and Transportation from Johnston County Community College. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, restoring antique farm equipment, riding three-wheelers, and farming. His advice to students: "I started playing sports in middle school and learned teamwork makes the dream work. Start introducing yourself to people and build a network of friendships. Of all the unpredictable things in life the only two things you can control are your attitude and how you react to a situation. Listen to those that have been where you are trying to go in life. Be patient and when opportunity knocks, answer the door."
