Adam Stein - Founder, President
Adam runs the product team at Gridium. Formerly he co-founded TerraPass, and before that worked at Tellme and Trilogy. He has an MBA from Wharton and a BS from Stanford, neither of which impress his young daughter.
Andy is a Midwestern adventure seeker with an unnatural enthusiasm for trail mix. A front-end engineering & design specialist by trade, he spends the rest of his time outside and/or making funny faces at his daughter.

Anthony Lenza is a Metering Project Manager at Gridium. He has 15+ years of electrical project management experience with a focus in the last 7 years on real estate sustainability and energy management. In his free time he is taking care of his surplus of animals including goats and horses as well as enjoying hikes with his family through the mountains in Virginia.
Ashley is an Energy Analyst with a background in civil engineering. When she is not nerding out over numbers, she enjoys attending concerts, spending time outdoors with family, and snuggling with her cats and dog.
Ben started professional life as a biologist (B.S. University of Wisconsin-Madison, M.S. Iowa State University), but long ago made the jump to the tech world, where his passion for data and puzzle solving are still well met. He's worked with satellite data, internet access equipment, digital audio streaming devices, phone and voicemail management software, census and survey data, and several other things. He is an avid bird-watcher, cyclist, and golfer, so if there's ever a triathlon with those three events he's going to dominate, because that's a narrowly overlapping Venn diagram.
Ben lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota with his wife and two daughters, where they barely endure the winter but absolutely love the summer.
Chelsey lives in Michigan with her husband and daughter. During her free time (which is somewhat rare), she enjoys reading, playing piano, rearranging her house, and staying up way too late binge-watching her favorite shows.

Chia is an Decarbonization Project Engineer with a background in Mechanical Engineering. He can be found paddling his one-man outrigger canoe in Kailua Bay, playing foosball or rooting for Liverpool football club on weekends.
Chris joined Gridium as a data analyst after transitioning from a career in healthcare. He is passionate about using data to solve problems and make a positive impact on the planet. Chris lives in Washington with his wife Elizabeth and enjoys fly fishing, distance running, and any opportunity to learn new things.

Collin is a former marine biologist and current data engineer at Gridium. He earned his Masters Degree from Johns Hopkins University in Computer Systems and loves spending his time outdoors, underwater, or deep in a book.

Dean is a National Account Executive with an extensive background in the CRE energy management industry based in LA. Dean has years of experience helping building owners and operators plan and take action towards reaching their sustainability and energy usage reduction goals.
In his free time, Dean is an avid hiker and traveler, exploring new destinations and seeking out new adventures. He enjoys immersing himself in new cultures, meeting new people, and trying new things. Whether he's hiking up a mountain or exploring a new city, Dean is always opportunities to learn and grow.
Dee has over a decade of experience in the energy sector with a strong focus in data management and process improvement. When not at work, she enjoys wine tasting with her husband and being bullied by her cat.
Derek is our Energy Manager based in Atlanta with a track record of successfully helping all levels of an organization reach their sustainability goals. He is passionate in finding creative solutions to the energy challenges we are faced with. When not diving into chiller plants or datasets you can find him hiking, fishing, gardening, and boating with his family and 2 Goldens.
Derek Hoagland is a sysadmin by trade and at heart. He spends his days slapping around servers like old televisions and his nights raising a variety of North American amphibians. Ask him about his toads if you have an hour to spare.

Emily is on the Project Finance team at Gridium Alpha. Here at Gridium, her past experience in finance, strategy, and relationship management intersect with her passion for the climate space and helping buildings go green.
Emily earned a Bachelor's degree at CU Boulder where she studied Finance. She recently relocated to NYC from Denver. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, running, playing tennis, and exploring new food spots in the City. In the Winter, you might find her on the slopes in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

Fred is streamlining the analytics at Gridium Alpha. He has a BS in Urban Planning and Sustainability from New York University. In his free time, Fred enjoys making maps and finding out just how far he can go on a bike.

Gene Boyle is the Director of Project Engineering at Gridium, based out of the SF Bay Area. Gene has over 35 years of experience in facilities, building automation and commissioning which he plans to bring to bear to help Gridium customers reduce their carbon footprint. Gene has a Mechanical Engineering degree from Boston University and is a registered Professional Engineer in California. During his free time you're likely to find Gene galavanting around the Bay Area playing gigs on his trumpet or cruising through the woods on his mountain bike. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, two young children and five dogs.
Greg is the Director of Data Science at Gridium. He has B.S. degrees in mathematics and physics, and an M.S. in statistics - which is what data science used to be called. Before becoming Gridium's first employee, he developed applications in the fields of marketing research and biostatistics. Greg and his wife live in Chicago where they enjoy all kinds of music and spend their free time keeping track of their two grown children, two dogs, and a noisy parrot.

Ian is Managing Director of Gridium Alpha. He has been designing and implementing commercial, utility and residential distributed energy solutions for nearly 15 years. He is passionate about accelerating the transition to a clean economy for environmental, social and geopolitical reasons. He received his MBA from ASU's Thunderbird School of Global Management and an undergraduate degree from Clemson University. Ian spends his free time exploring the great Northwest with his wife and two young children.
Joe is a Philadelphia transplant from Rhode Island. Joe graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bryant University. Outside of work, he enjoys jump roping, finding good music to DJ with, and saying yes to any exciting activity.

Joel is a product manager from Portland, OR with a complicated background in design, coding, psychology, photography, and theater. He gets excited about human experience and usability, and has a secret love for tracking all kinds of data in spreadsheets.
Outside of work, Joel spends a lot of time on long road trips, traveling to new places around the world, hiking and camping, hanging out at the climbing gym, and working on home improvement projects.
Joseph Thomas is a Senior Software Engineer at Gridium. He has a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Arizona. Besides building robust software systems, he likes to explore the mountains of Colorado and tend to his garden of spicy chiles.
Julia graduated with a BA in Global and Local Sustainability. Living in New York with her husband and cat, she enjoys free time at the rock climbing gym, playing board games with friends, and winding down at cafes.
Karl T. Ulrich is Vice Dean of Entrepreneurship & Innovation at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He also holds an appointment as Professor of Mechanical Engineering. His research is focused on innovation, entrepreneurship, and product development. Karl mentored Adam and Tom a decade ago at Wharton, and wrote the first investor check to Gridium.
Kimberly Nicholls leads the engineering team at Gridium, and loves to make data useful. She also enjoys reading books and playing outside, especially in the water.
Kirsten is the Controller of Gridium. She has a BBA from the University of Michigan and has over 20 years of accounting experience. When not crunching numbers, she enjoys visiting the local wineries in her hometown of Temecula, CA, hanging out with her dogs and spending time with her family and friends.
Melanie is a data scientist with a background in chemistry and education. She lives in Chicago with her partner, their son, and their aptly-named cat, Kong. When she isn't working or wrangling a toddler she enjoys all types of gaming, cooking, and spending time outdoors.

Nick Boyd is a Sales Operations Specialist at Gridium. Prior to joining Gridium, he worked in business operations & product delivery in the software industry. Nick received a BA in Sociology from Davidson College, as well as an MS in Business Analytics from Georgetown University.
Nick and his wife live in Charlotte, North Carolina. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, watching soccer, and desperately attempting to burn out his dog's seemingly endless supply of energy.
Nisha acquired her BS in Energy Engineering from Penn State and has since gained project management experience on the EPC side of commercial-scale solar farms. She is now a Data Analyst with Gridium.

Pete Nelson is an energy analyst who got his start in cleantech riding home from nursery school on the back of his dad's bike. His pre-Gridium exploits include organic agriculture in Germany and New Jersey, implementing software for non-profits, and coaching college track and field. Pete enjoys running, playing and watching soccer, and spending time with his family.
Peter Karman is a full stack engineer at Gridium. He loves to play soccer and music, not simultaneously.

Ross is a National Account Executive for Gridium. He joins the team with over 7 years experience in building operations software and a proven track record of happy customers. He is based in NYC. Ross understands how important the tools are that owners and operators use everyday in order to run their buildings efficiently & how easy-to-use software can help further in that mission.
Rustem is a backend engineer with a background in aerospace engineering. Living in Huntsville, Alabama, he spends his free time playing video games and piano.

Shannon is a software engineer who loves working on user-facing applications. She spends her free time competing semiprofessionally in ultramarathons while burning through audiobooks. Shannon lives in Baltimore, Maryland with her partner.
Shawn enjoys building cloud-native enterprise solutions in Python, bicycling on Chicago's Lakefront Trail, playing board games with friends, and exploring the world. He's happiest when his hands are covered in all-purpose flour, a river otter swims past his campsite, or his unit tests finally pass.

Thalia Pascalides is the Senior Director of Marketing at Gridium. She has led marketing teams for cleantech SaaS companies, including EnerNOC, Siemens, and Hatch Data (now Measurabl), for nearly two decades. She has a Bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College. In her free time, Thalia can be found exploring new food spots and the great outdoors with her family.

Tom is a Decarbonization Project Manager with a background in Mechanical Engineering and Construction Management. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in California and Certified Energy Manager with experience in the design and implementation of mechanical and electrical retrofit projects in existing buildings. In his free time, he enjoys cooking at home, getting lost in the woods, fly fishing, and playing golf.

Tim Canavan is the VP, Operations and Customer Success at Gridium. He has worked for Cambridge Associates, as a venture fellow at SJF Ventures and at a number of cleantech startups. Tim has a Masters in Environmental Management and an MBA from Duke, and a Bachelors degree from UMass Amherst. He is an avid backpacker and backcountry skier.
Tom Arnold is co-founder and CEO of Gridium and current Chair of the Energy, Sustainability & Resiliency Committee at BOMA SF. Prior to Gridium, Tom Arnold was the VP of Energy Efficiency at EnerNOC, and cofounder at TerraPass. Tom has an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in Economics from Dartmouth College. When he isn't thinking about the future of buildings, he enjoys riding his bike and chasing after his two daughters.

Tommy Anthony has been in CRE for over 25 years. His work has included renovation, retrofits, and large scale development projects in over 20 million square feet throughout California. He has worked as a CM, CFO and COO for construction and development companies throughout the Bay Area region and has held Board positions at CREW Silicon Valley and BOMA. An avid believer that energy efficient buildings are not only crucial to lower CO2 emissions, but also table stakes for successful financial outcomes which has led him to leverage his extensive experience to further the Gridium mission of decarbonizing assets and developing comprehensive energy efficiency projects. His track record of delivering value to clients will be critical as Gridium scales the project development business.

Travis Putnam is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Navitas Capital. His current investments include Gridium, Matterport, PlanGrid, Enmetric, Building Robotics, and SNTech. Travis holds a degree in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a concentration in Finance.
Will Evans is the Vice President of Sales at Gridium, based out of NYC. Prior to Gridium, Will worked as a sales leader at high-growth software businesses such as Electric.ai and Splashthat.com. Will triple majored in Environmental Studies, History, and Business at the University of Wisconsin Madison where he earned a bachelor's degree. Will is passionate about fighting climate change in the built environment. During his free time, you'll find Will smoking meats on his Big Green Egg, exploring NYC's restaurant and art scene, and traveling (hiking vacations and beach vacations are his favorites), and spending time with his wife Laura and his mini-Aussie doodle Louie.
