Christine M. Trowbridge Christine

Christine M. Trowbridge Christine has over a decade of experience as a practicing attorney focused primarily on effective written advocacy. She excels at identifying persuasive storylines and working with clients to highlight their strengths. Christine has a strong editorial background, having served as Articles Editor for the Boston University Law Review. As a teaching assistant in the Legal Writing Program at Boston University School of Law, she worked with students to develop their critical writing skills. Christine has also coached middle and high school mock trial teams, helping students develop and refine their oral advocacy and analytical skills. In addition to her work with college applicants, professionals, and local businesses, Christine recently worked with a large national bank to revise and edit thousands of pages of technical federal filings. Christine practiced law in Boston at WilmerHale LLP (formerly Hale and Dorr LLP) and at O'Connor, Carnathan, and Mack LLP. As a litigator, she appeared on behalf of clients and authored numerous briefs filed in state, federal, and appellate courts. Her work was also published in the Boston University Law Review under her maiden name, Christine O'Malley. Christine holds a J.D, cum laude, from Boston University School of Law, where she was named an Edward F. Hennessey Scholar, a Paul J. Liacos Scholar, and a G. Joseph Tauro Scholar. Christine also holds a B.A. in Anthropology from Tufts University, where she competed as a member of the sailing team. She is an alumna of the Lawrenceville School in New Jersey. She enjoys photography, sailing, and spending time with her children and husband.

Claire Sledge Smith

Claire has extensive legal training and experience teaching persuasive and objective writing, public speaking, and debate. She specializes in helping young adults present themselves at their best, both in their written work and in their verbal communication skills. Claire has a broad range of editorial experience. In addition to working with students throughout their college application process, she has helped businesses and schools improve their web site content and has helped professionals streamline both their resumes and their written communications. Claire practiced law at Goodwin Procter LLP in Boston. As a litigation associate, she managed and coordinated all aspects of both state and federal trial preparation, writing numerous briefs and memoranda and appearing in court on her clients' behalf. Claire holds a J.D. from Boston College Law School, where she was named Best Oral Advocate - Northeast Region as a member of the National Moot Court Team. She also holds an A.B. in United States History, cum laude, from Princeton University, where she was awarded the C.O. Joline Prize in American History for her senior thesis. She is an alumna of both Milton Academy and Shore Country Day School. Claire has coached lacrosse at Marblehead High School, having played at Princeton, and is currently coaching several youth teams. When not on the field, Claire and her husband enjoy watching their four children play sports. Her oldest daughter currently attends Middlebury College.
