The Harrisburg Regional Chamber was founded in 1884 as the Harrisburg Board of Trade. In 1913, it was decided that the organization should be formally incorporated as a Chamber of Commerce and by 1914 that official designation was given to the organization. CREDC was founded in 1983 and merged with the Chamber in 1994... Our economic development arm CREDC is the leading Certified Economic Development Organization for promoting and performing economic development activities in the Harrisburg region, consisting of Cumberland, Dauphin and Perry counties. CREDC has championed more than 500 projects creating and retaining 15,000 jobs and creating an economic impact of $600 million. CREDC continuously receives the highest rankings from the PA Department of Community and Economic Development...
