Alexander is also a skilled project manager, and complex technical and design challenges benefit greatly from his high attention to detail. Alexander is a Fulbright Scholar with Master of Architecture degrees from the University of New Mexico and from the Technical University, Berlin.

Dawn is a skilled and versatile designer whose work has focused on higher education, community, and historic projects. She was project architect for the historic rehabilitation of both Strand Agricultural Hall and Cordley Hall at Oregon State University, as well as University of Oregon's Chapman Hall - all of which were recognized with DeMuro Awards for preservation excellence from Restore Oregon. She is currently helping to lead the historic rehabilitation of UO's Villard Hall as part of the Heritage Project to restore the oldest buildings on campus. Dawn is an accomplished watercolorist; she was recognized with an award from the American Society of Architectural Illustrators for a watercolor rendering of the firm's design for the Oregon Rail Heritage Foundation's engine house.
