In 1996, Marzo Glove restructured and changed their name to Hides in Hand. With the introduction of Moose, Deer and Buffalo leathers, Hides in Hand began to design fashionable handwear and focus less on industrial/protective wear. Shortly after, we were approached by a moccasin company from Northern Ontario. They were retiring their business and were interested in our company to continue on. They had learned of our shop, our leathers and our strong attitude towards everything being handmade on the premises... We have chosen to incorporate drawn images of art in the form of embroidery onto our leathers. These images all hold a personal meaning to the artist and marriages so beautifully onto our deerskin and moose hide leathers. As we collaborate with our Indigenous artists, we continually learn the meanings of their cultural expression... Our Elite line of beautiful leather products is a place where we can showcase and promote some extraordinary artwork and ideas from other artists.
