HLGC NPC is the newly named next generation company born out of The Home Loan Guarantee Company NPC- which had been incorporated on 30th March 1990 under the then Section 21 of the South African Companies Act- in an effort to entice banks to make home loans to lower income South Africans... In its heyday, The Home Loan Guarantee Company operated in 705 localities in South Africa, as a registered specialist insurer, with an AA+ rating by Fitch UK and then by Global Credit Rating Agency and facilitated more than ZAR 40 billion in home loans to lower income South Africans, which equates to more than 300 000 people having tenure.
