Hong Leong Trading Co. Sdn. Bhd. (HLT) was founded by the late Mr. Yap Hui Hong in 1952. From its humble beginnings, the company began its operations as a pioneer in the timber industry, retailing sawn timber in the local market... By 1966, the company's started producing sawn timber for export. With time, new market trends were emerging and by 1992, in order to remain competitive, HLT began to change its focus towards specialising in General Moulding of solid timber products and the development of "Finger-joints" for the export market... Over the years, HLT has been one of the leading players within Malaysia's Small Medium Industries (SMI), engaging in past business dealings with overseas markets such as Australia, Korea, Japan, Germany, France and the United Kingdom. Today, we remain active business with our partners in Belgium, Holland, USA and Canada.
