Charles E. Hodum

Mr. Hodum has been engaged in the practice of law since 1986. He has appeared before State courts throughout Tennessee and Mississippi in both bench trials and jury trials. During his career, Mr. Hodum first served as an Assistant District Attorney General for the Tenth Judicial District inEast Tennessee. However, for the last twenty years he has been actively engaged in handling difficult divorce and family law matters, consultation and representation of business and corporate clients, representation of well known entertainment figures in entertainment related matters involving television personalities, rock and roll performers, country music personalities, professional songwriters, event promoters, television and record producer consultation, representation in personal service contract negotiations and the defense of persons accused of criminal misdemeanor and felony charges in both Tennessee and Mississippi. Mr. Hodum has also previously appeared as special counsel in matters in the states of Texas and Arkansas. Education He received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing Management in 1982 from Memphis State University and later in 1986 received a Juris Doctor degree from the Memphis State School of Law. Hodum attended the Vanderbilt University Law School in the spring of 2005 taking regular course work in Entertainment Law Industries. He has also assisted and counseled with the Blues Foundation located in Memphis Tennessee in conjunction with their yearly Handy Blues Awards show.

Mr. Hodum began practicing law in Mississippi in 2015. During law school Mr. Hodum worked as a legal extern for The Mississippi Supreme Court's Criminal, Ethics, and Civil Rules Committees. Mr. Hodum also worked as a judicial extern for the Honorable Justice James W. Kitchens of the Mississippi Supreme Court. During Mr. Hodum's last year of law school, Mr. Hodum was admitted to limited practice in Rankin County, Mississippi, for the 20th Judicial District. While working for the Rankin County District Attorney's Office, Mr. Hodum assisted in trials and made appearances for the State. Mr. Hodum has worked as a public defender for Desoto County, Mississippi and is certified as a Mississippi Mediator.
