Brett Andrews

Brett Andrews has over nine years experience in both private and hospital-based Physiotherapy. He has worked closely with a number of leading Orthopaedic surgeons throughout Sydney with a special interest in post op shoulders, knees and ankles. During this time he has treated a wide range of injuries and neurological disorders. Brett's main interests include sports and musculoskeletal injuries ranging from complex post op management to acute sports related injuries. He has completed post graduate courses in Shoulder, Spinal, Knee, Sports, Dry Needling, just to name a few. Personally, Brett enjoys football, weight training and running.

David Bugg

David Bugg is a director of Sydney City Podiatry and has consulted at Holdsworth House since 2001. David has extensive knowledge of all podiatric complaints and specialises in lower limb biomechanics, sports/activity-related injuries and orthotic therapy. He is regularly invited by the national media to share his expertise in these areas. He has been a guest lecturer at the University of Western Sydney and a clinical supervisor at their podiatry teaching clinic. As a former AFL player, David has a keen interest in the treatment and prevention of injuries in athletes of all ages, whether they be professional sports persons or those who like to keep fit and pain free. David's extensive experience comes from years of treating elite athletes including professional soccer, AFL, golf and tennis players. The Sydney City Podiatry group are podiatrists to national soccer teams Sydney FC and Central Coast Mariners in the A-league and draw on this 10 year experience in their patient management.

Dr Anita Jacombs

Dr Anita Jacombs is an Australian-trained General Surgeon with expertise in laparoscopic and open Hernia Surgery, Complex Incisional Hernia Surgery and Abdominal Wall Reconstruction. She also has training in Endovenous treatment of Varicose Veins and Chronic Venous Disease of the leg. She is also an Academic Surgeon and has recently been appointed as a Senior Lecturer and Clinical Academic Surgeon at the University of Sydney and Nepean Hospital. She has ongoing research interests in infection of surgical implants and pre-operative preparation to improve surgical outcomes of patients with Complex Incisional Hernias. Dr Ben Nguyen

Dr Ben Nguyen is a Staff Specialist at St Vincent's Hospital and a Visiting Medical Officer at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney. He has ongoing research collaborations with the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research and is a Clinical Lecturer for the University of Sydney. He undertook his Respiratory and Sleep Medicine training at Royal Prince Alfred, Concord Repatriation General and Campbelltown Hospitals and completed a Sleep Medicine Fellowship at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. Dr Nguyen is completing a PhD assessing the effects of positive airway pressure therapy in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and comorbid sleep disordered breathing and has presented his findings at both national and international respiratory and sleep society meetings and published in a number of peer reviewed journals. He currently manages a wide variety of sleep disorders including sleep disordered breathing, narcolepsy, parasomnias and restless legs syndrome. He is also interested in seeing patients with a wide range of respiratory conditions.

Dr Jessie Lee is a consultant with dual specialist qualifications in Clinical Immunology/Allergy and Pathology. She received her medical degree from the University of New South Wales and physician training at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, before undertaking her specialist Immunology training in the Central Sydney Immunology Network. She is a Staff Specialist at Concord Repatriation General Hospital, where she is also the current Director of Physician Training. She is a Lecturer at the University of Sydney, and developed and is the co-ordinator of the Immunology component of the Master of Internal Medicine program. Dr Lee provides comprehensive care for patients with immune system disorders, including allergic diseases in adults and children over the age of one, immunodeficiencies and autoimmune conditions. Her interest is in the management of allergic conditions, and she is the lead investigator in a range of clinical research trials for atopic dermatitis (eczema). Her other research areas include systemic lupus erythematosus, allergic asthma and psoriasis.

Dr John Frew

Dr John Frew is a fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists and a globally recognized researcher in the field of Hidradenitis Suppurativa. He completed his medical degree (with Honours) from the University of New South Wales in 2009, followed by a Masters of Medicine in clinical epidemiology from the University of Sydney in 2011 followed by completion of his dermatology specialist training in 2016. Dr Frew recently completed a highly competitive post-doctoral fellowship at the prestigious Rockefeller University in New York City between 2018-2020 (under the guidance of Professor James Krueger) identifying immunological pathways and novel therapies for the treatment of Hidradenitis Suppurativa. Dr Frew currently holds a staff specialist position at Liverpool Hospital and is a conjoint lecturer at the University of New South Wales supervising dermatology trainees and postgraduate research students. Dr Frew is an active Dermatological researcher and internationally recognized leader in the field of Hidradenitis Suppurativa / Acne Inversa as well as the current president of the Asia-Pacific Hidradenitis Suppurativa Foundation (APHiS). He has over 100 peer-reviewed publications and has contributed to numerous international Dermatology and Immunology textbooks. He has been invited to deliver lectures at the American Academy of Dermatology as well as prestigious medical schools including Weill Cornell Medical School in New York City. Dr. Christopher Muir is a consultant Endocrinologist dedicated to providing personalised and evidence-based care. He completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery with honours from the University of Sydney in 2011 and underwent subspecialty training in Endocrinology at St. Vincent's Hospital, Sydney and Concord Repatriation General Hospital.Dr. Muir holds a Conjoint Associate Lecturer position with the University of New South Wales, and is involved with medical student as well as junior medical officer and registrar teaching.
