The Hannibal Regional Healthcare System (HRHS) story began when community benefactors and leaders formed Hannibal's first hospitals - Levering Hospital in 1903 and St. Elizabeth's Hospital in 1914. The merger of these two organizations in the late 1980s led to another major milestone in the evolution of strong community-based healthcare... Hannibal Regional is a fiscally strong, integrated healthcare delivery system organized to lead, support and encourage the advancement of physical, social, intellectual, spiritual, and emotional health of residents in northeast Missouri, west-central Illinois and southeast Iowa. Our mission statement, "Your Health is Our Mission," encompasses Hannibal Regional's leadership role in enhancing the multiple dimensions of health and quality of life for the individuals and communities we serve.
