House of Bales began in 1997 with Lance Kairl keen to promote and facilitate the construction of strawbale building in South Australia and to be a resource for owners and builders. He was drawn to strawbale by its sustainable nature, its flexibility as a building material, and its capacity to replicate the features of traditional homesteads and cottages... We deliver some workshops at The Food Forest. Up to date workshop dates and information is posted on our House of Bales facebook page... House of Bales Strawbale Builder established in 1997 by licensed builder Lance Kairl, works with owners and builders to facilitate the construction of strawbale buildings. Lance is passionate, practical and approachable.
