Prior to the incorporation of the Hong Kong Dietitians Association, the dietetic profession was mainly represented by the trade union currently known as the Hong Kong Practising Dietitians Union (HKPDU), which is now responsible for labor relations... In 2001, HKDA was established to enforce professional continuing education and development of accreditation system for dietitians. It is a non-profit organization with more than 300 members to date.
