HRC is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 1968, incorporated in 1970, and merged to become HRC in 1984. Throughout HRC's history, HRC has expanded its array of services to assist people who have disabilities including developmental and intellectual disabilities, people struggling with mental health or substance use issues, and students whose substance use can be prevented... HRC's LRP, the Living Room Program, offers a mental health crisis respite program for people who are 18+ years old. The goal of the Living Room Program is to provide a calm and safe environment in which guests can engage in recovery support activities to improve overall wellness and reduce symptoms.
