Jim Hatcher - CTO

Job Titles:

Jim was flying airplanes before he was driving cars. Building and racing motorcycles came next. Growing up around engineers and world travelers, Jim developed a world view of culture, communication and technology. By age 17 he had traveled around the world, spending time in remote locations like Easter Island and the Amazon rain forest. He studied communication and biology at the University of Louisville, Kentucky, and graduated with honors in both. Just out of college, Jim worked in independent film productions and traveled to Washington D.C. for a low-budget vampire movie-once finished, he stayed in D.C. as Video Production Manager for World USO. Traveling as a video journalist with the U.S. military, his tours included Haiti, Somalia, Bosnia, Korea and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. During this time, Jim started doing business with Professional Products, Inc. and was a customer of Carter Kaufmann who offered him a job. At first, Jim declined but after a few more exhausting tours to the Middle East and back again to Haiti, Jim decided it was time for a change-he took Carter up on his offer. Jim started working for PPI in 1995 as an Applications Engineer. He was promoted to Director of Technology in 2001 and in 2005 became Chief Technology Officer. As CTO for Human Circuit, Mr. Hatcher oversees and manages the day-to-day operations of our technical team including engineering, integration, project management and service personnel. He is responsible for establishing Human Circuit's technical directives and provides leadership in the design, definition, planning and deployment of technical infrastructures and architectures. By developing strategic partnerships with technology providers, Mr. Hatcher identifies new business opportunities that leverage the core competencies of Human Circuit's technical team. Mr. Hatcher has been with Human Circuit, formerly Professional Products, since 1995.
