Alison Bergbusch is a Principal at Hutcheson & Co. and specializes in the preparation of financial statements, personal and corporate tax returns, and all types of CRA compliance for both individuals and businesses. She studied at the University of Victoria and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics prior to obtaining her Chartered Accountant designation in 2014.
Alison was born and raised in Victoria, BC. When she is not at the office, she enjoys keeping busy at the curling rink, golf course, or hiking trail.
Ammo is a Partner at Hutcheson & Co. where his primary focus is on financial statement engagements including audits, reviews, and compilations, Through his 20+ years of experience working with businesses and owners, Ammo's developed skills in Tax, Trusts and Estates, and Valuation. He enjoys collaborating with fellow professionals to achieve outcomes for his clients. Originally from Victoria, Ammo moved to Vancouver for school and graduated from Simon Fraser University in 2002. He then joined Smythe to complete articling before returning to Victoria in 2006. Ammo is past President of the Estate Planning Council of Victoria, an organization which fosters co-operation and sharing between professionals. Outside of the office, Ammo engages in an active lifestyle full of friends, family and sports.

Aragorn joined Hutcheson & Co. as a Staff Accountant in February 2017. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Victoria. As a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Montana, USA, her area of interest focuses on United States - Canada cross border personal, estate and corporate taxation. She is currently pursuing her TEP designation.
Brent England is a Partner at Hutcheson & Co., specializing in personal and corporate Canadian income taxes, US and Canadian cross-border taxes, as well as Estate planning. Prior to becoming a partner at Hutcheson & Co., Brent articled at the Auditor General's office in Victoria, BC. Brent graduated from the University of Victoria in 1986 with a BSc. in Marine Biology. After his first degree, he received a diploma in Accounting from BCIT, followed by his Chartered Accountant designation in 1995. He completed the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants In-Depth Tax Program in 1997 and has also been a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Colorado since 2013.

Colin Sargent joined Hutcheson & Co. in January of 2023. He graduated from Camosun College with a Bachelor of Business Administration - Accounting degree in 2016, and received his CPA designation in 2022 after five years of experience at another local accounting firm. Colin is a member of the cross-border taxation team at Hutcheson, and enjoys preparing financial statements and corporate tax returns for small- and medium-sized businesses, especially those who have fallen behind in their reporting.
Colin was born and raised in Victoria, and hopes to call Victoria home for the rest of his life. Outside the office, he can be found playing soccer through the winter, golf through the summer, as well as entering chess tournaments whenever he can find the time. Douglas Lawson is a Principal at Hutcheson & Co. CPA LLP and specializes in Canadian and United States cross-border taxation, regulatory compliance and tax planning. He is licensed as a Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (formerly: Chartered Accountant) and as a United States Certified Public Accountant through the state of New York.

Rob Brown is a Principal at Hutcheson & Co. and specializes in Canadian and US cross border taxation, planning and compliance for both individuals and businesses. Tony Theaker has been with Hutcheson & Co. since 2007 when he joined us to article. Tony became a Partner in 2018. His areas of specialty include Canadian personal and corporate tax, United States-Canada cross border tax planning and compliance, and non-resident tax filings. He is an invaluable resource when it comes to assisting clients resolve CRA / IRS disputes, and bringing delinquent tax filers into compliance.
In 2011, Tony obtained his Chartered Accountant designation. Since then he has completed the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants In-Depth Tax Course. Before becoming a Chartered Accountant, he earned a Bachelor in Business Administration. Tony grew up in Regina, Saskatchewan. He spent four years living in the beautiful Rockies surrounding Banff and Lake Louise before moving to Victoria in 2005. When he's not at the office, he is exploring Vancouver Island with his wife, Tanja, and their two young children. He enjoys playing tennis, spending time with friends, and following developments in the ever changing world of real estate and the stock market!

Whitey is a Manager with Hutcheson & Co. having joined the firm in 2018 after 7 years gaining experience and designation with another local CPA firm in Victoria. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science at West Virginia Wesleyan College and more recently studied Accounting at Camosun College. He completed the CPA BC Professional Education Program, passing the CFE in September of 2017. Whitey is also licensed as an Enrolled Agent by the US Department of the Treasury and is federally authorized to represent taxpayers before all administrative levels of the Internal Revenue Service.
