As the largest commercial bank in Qatar Financial Centre ("QFC"), Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Doha (QFC) Branch ("ICBC Doha") was established in Doha in January 2008. In November 2014, in accordance with a Memorandum of Cooperation between Qatar Central Bank and People's Bank of China, ICBC Doha earned the distinction of being designated the first RMB (Chinese Yuan) clearing centre in MENA.
