IDEAS - Key Persons

Dr. Bill Merrifield served cross-culturally in Beirut, Lebanon for 17 years. He holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership, an MA in Middle Eastern Studies, an MA in Religion, and a BA in Theology. His experience includes roles in teaching and educational leadership in higher education, secondary education, and theological education. As the Director of Education, Bill provides leadership through articulating the vision of IDEAS work in Christ-centered, cross-cultural, transformative education; working to increase the impact of IDEAS educational projects; and identifying new partnerships and projects opportunities aligned with IDEAS' mission. His areas of interest are in the development of culturally-situated critical thinking, culturally-situated special education, and refugee education. Bill and his family currently live in Wheaton, IL.

Mike Miller (BS, Electrical Engineering), has over 30 years business experience, primarily IT related, with experience in financial reporting and business process improvement. He served 9 years on IDEAS Board of Directors.
