Ioan Cosmescu, an inventor and biomedical engineer, and Elena Cosmescu, a registered nurse and hospital administrator, both came to America with deep knowledge and experience in healthcare, surgical practice and hospital operations. While working in healthcare and medical settings in the U.S., they saw the need for a more effective way to capture and eliminate surgical smoke in operating room environments. Ioan Cosmescu, a life-long problem-solver, inventor and entrepreneur, set about coming up with a totally new approach to capturing and eliminating surgical plume.
