Christine Sherman

Christopher Andrade

Christopher Andrade joined InSite in 2003 upon his high school graduation, and has worked on a vast array of projects over the course of his time here. He has gained experience in both GPS surveying and instrumental surveying. His main focus has been within CAD design practices, ranging from architectural design, residential subdivision design and planning, commercial site development, 3-D site rendering and marketing design plans. He has worked extensively to stay current with the latest technologies and practices. He attended New England Institute of Technology to obtain a B.S. in Architecture. His design work includes residential architecture for homes in Seekonk, Swansea, Attleboro, and Rehoboth, and commercial architecture which includes the De Leo's complex in Seekonk. His commercial site design includes the Healthtrax/Ichigo Ichie Plaza in East Providence, RI and subdivision design includes Rocky Run Phase II, Rolling Hill Estates, and The Preserve in Rehoboth, MA.

Diana Hammond

Diana Hammond joined the InSite team in 2010. Her varied management experience includes hospitality, sales and medical facilities. She has thorough knowledge of all office procedures. A graduate of Johnson & Wales, Diana has a strong background in accounting, tax reporting, insurance, payroll, and marketing practices. She enjoys working with clients to assist them with the preliminary stages of a project and helping them to understand the steps needed to see it through to completion.

Giles Evans

Giles Evans started his career by building, servicing computer systems and developing software for 3M, and various Land Surveying and Engineering firms while attending High School. After graduating High School, he accepted a summer job as a Land Surveyor's helper from one of his former computer service clients during the summer of 1985. He gaining experience in both field practices as well as hand and computer aided drafting before attending college for Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. Giles continued as a Land Surveyor's helper part time as a draftsman during the school season, and full time as survey field crew and draftsman over the summer as he pursued his academic goals. Upon graduating college Giles first took employment with 3M/Imation as a Field Service Engineer specializing in Color Science, Graphic Arts computer systems, large format commercial printing and lithographic proofing systems, while continuing to moonlight as a draftsman and weekend field personnel in the Land Survey Field. He was even contracted by the Rhode Island Department of Transportation to instruct on the use of AutoCAD/Softdesk to their Survey Division. In the spring of 2002 Giles realized his true interests lie within the Land Survey field and left 3M/Imation to pursue a career as a Land Survey technician, party-chief and field crew supervisor. Mr. Evans has gained experience exponentially in the field of Land Survey with 30+ years of experience, working for New England Power/National Grid, CSX, RIDOT, and other private Survey and Civil Engineering Firms.

Lisa Barbosa

Lisa studied architecture at Hall Institute and graduated in 1983. Employed in the field of surveying and/or civil engineering for 35 years, drafting and design are her specialties. Other areas of expertise include residential and commercial leaching system designs, wetlands permitting in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, subdivisions, site plans, ALTA surveys, mortgage plot plans, as-builts, condominium conversions, etc.

Michael S. Faria

Michael Faria specializes in septic/ISDS & OWTS design, soil evaluation and structural engineering. His work for InSite Engineering includes residential percolation testing, soil evaluation and septic designs for Banna Estates, Seekonk; a commercial septic system for the fuel station and carwash of Crossroads/CITGO in Seekonk; and soil evaluations and septic design for new athletic fields at Lincoln School's Faxon Farm Complex, Rehoboth. A graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Mike came to InSite in 2003 from a Top 500 civil engineering firm. His experience covers a wide variety of engineering projects, including extensive experience in transportation projects, structural projects, residential developments and permitting with municipal, state and federal agencies. He has also designed stormwater and wastewater management systems, wetland mitigation plans, and contributed to projects involving private and commercial structures in timber, concrete, steel and aluminum. Mr. Faria is affiliated with the Society of American Military Engineers, American Society of Civil Engineers, and the American Concrete Institute. He is also a Certified Soil Evaluator in Massachusetts, a Certified Massachusetts Municipal Wastewater Treatment Facilities Operator, and a Certified Onsite Wastewater Treatment System Designer in Rhode Island.

Paul Carlson - VP

Mr. Carlson has been a principal owner and manager of InSite Engineering since 2002. He has diversified experience in civil-site, telecommunications, highways, and utility projects in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Mr. Carlson has a survey background that enhances his comprehension of all transportation projects. He has extensive experience in permitting with municipal, state and federal agencies, construction administration and inspection. He has also designed stormwater management systems, wetland mitigation plans and completed environmental permitting in public sectors. Paul's specialty is working with clients and providing guidance and expertise to transform their ideas into a successful project. Having been involved in land development Paul understands the complexities of every project and how to maximize the return with proven engineering techniques. Paul Carlson holds a Bachelor and a Master of Science in Engineering from the University of Rhode Island, and has been a Professional Engineer for nearly two decades. Prior to joining InSite Engineering, he was employed as a Project Engineer and Department Manager of a northern Rhode Island architectural/engineering firm and also Project Manager of a Top 500 civil engineering company. He has served as President for the Rhode Island Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers and is an Executive Board Member of the Rhode Island Section of Professional Engineers. Mr. Carlson was awarded the Rhode Island Young Engineer of Year, and currently serves on the multiple boards and committees at St. Andrew's School in Barrington, RI and St. Antoine Senior Community in North Smithfield. Paul lives in North Smithfield, RI, where he coaches and serves on the board for the Youth Soccer and Youth Basketball Associations.

Raymond Howard

Robert L. Davis - President

Mr. Davis has been a principal owner and manager of InSite Engineering since in 2002. He has successfully managed several major civil/site projects in the southeast Massachusetts and Rhode Island region. He has diversified experience and has served as project manager on telecommunications, highways, civil-sites, airports and rail projects. Mr. Davis has a strong survey background which enhances his comprehension of all engineering projects. He has extensive experience in permitting with municipal, state and federal agencies, and construction administration. He has also designed stormwater management systems, wetland mitigation plans and done environmental permitting in public and private sectors. Mr. Davis holds a BS in Civil Engineering from University of Vermont, and has been managing complex land development projects for over 27 years and brings a practical and diversified perspective to any job. Prior to founding InSite Engineering, he was employed as a Vice President and Department Manager of a Top 500 civil engineering firm. Mr. Davis has recently served as President for the Rhode Island Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers, and is currently a member of the Rhode Island Technical Council, Rhode Island Society of Civil Engineers, Providence Engineering Society, and the Massachusetts Association of Land Surveyors & Civil Engineers.

Shawn C. Ainsworth

Shawn Ainsworth joined InSite in 2004, bringing a strong background in survey field operations, permitting, and construction administration and inspection. This experience gives him a solid understanding of onsite operations and issues for a wide range of construction and surveying projects. He has diversified experience in civil-site, highways, and utility projects in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. He has experience in permitting with municipal, state and federal agencies, construction administration and inspection as well as a strong background in field operations and procedures relating to surveying. He has designed stormwater management systems, wetland mitigation plans and completed environmental permitting in public sectors. His work for InSite includes project managing for the survey and site design of commercial projects such as the 3770 North Main Street Commercial Development in Fall River, MA, and several residential subdivisions in Rehoboth and Swansea, MA. He previously worked on a variety of other survey projects including transportation projects such as Boston's Central Artery, the Amtrak Northeast Corridor Project and RIDOT's Route 4 extension. Prior to joining InSite Engineering, Mr. Ainsworth attended the University of Massachusetts in Dartmouth, Ma. He was later employed as a Project Manager of a southeastern Massachusetts surveying/engineering firm, a survey crew chief in Boston on the Central Artery project and from 1980 to the mid 90's as a survey crew chief within in the southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island area.

Suanne Santos

Suanne brings over 25 years of experience to InSite. Career has centered on managing, design and permitting projects ranging from residential, mixed use, commercial and redevelopment to complex multi-level projects for academic and healthcare facilities. Suanne has extensive experience in site permitting, understanding the complexity of technical and scheduling challenges of the permitting process and guiding the projects from concept to construction. Specializes in Flood Plain and Stormwater Management by integrating innovative low impact development techniques, green infrastructure and water conservation.
