2021年に新体制となったのを機に、素材のリサーチを主軸とした活動に転換しました。日本でデザインに携わる者として、素材の多様性を今一度見直し、伝えていく必要があると思うからです。テーマにする素材の産地や職人を訪ね、その普遍的な価値と新しい可能性を探っていきます。 Since 2011, Japan Creative has been promoting new values of Japanese craftsmanship that has nurtured Japan's unique sense of aesthetic and present them to the world through creating new products by connecting local Japanese manufacturers with internationally distinguished designers... In 2021, we decided to change the core of our activities to the research of the material. Through our past activities, we realized that it is necessary to reevaluate the diversity of materials in Japan and share it to the world of design. We visit production areas and craftsman of the materials we focus on, and explore their universal values and new possibilities for today and future.
